I am unable to access the previous thread for some reason

It can be in any currency BUT on conversion to Canadian dollar MUST be equal or greater than that required by the number of people immigrating.

It does not matter in any currency. If you just convert in the current exchange rate,that's ok. But one thing you do,show more amount of money like C$ 500 more than the required amount, since sometime there is fluctuation.

Dear all,

Finally the wait is over after four years jun 2010 applicant and re medicals on 9th Dec and status line still in process got passports with maple leaf at my doorstep . Was too excited but when saw the validity its just thirty days may be because my son in canada has the validity till then and big worry was that my surname has been misspelled as per the passport, its clerical mistake but don't know what to do time is too short have sent mails fax etc but no hope for early reply can not book tickets till then any suggestions will be of great help. Do they entertain if I go NDVO or shall I go ahead with this visa and they will rectify on landing papers there. All my medicals file name ecas status gcms notes all have the right spellings.

Is it really I have to bring $21,000 or I can take less money.

Also do I need to show PCC or Income tax clearance certificate at Mumbai Airport while immigrating?

Can $21,000.00 is what you can show, not less!

With those other documents in hand, you should be okay. Congratulations and good luck in your new life in Canada.
