I don't know why you can't log in. Make sure you choose the correct identification type like immigration file number.

Hello everyone, and congrats to those who got their DM's and visa packages already.

Just wanted to share:
We got our DM status on E-CAS on June 1st.
My husband rec'd his visa packages yesterday, Jun 11, via DHL.
The visa was issued on May 27, 2010.

It took 11 working days since date of issuance for the visa package to be delievered.

We received an email reply from our MP's asst. regarding the delay of our visa package. Here's the visa section's reply:

Quote: " The visas were authorized on May 20th and will be queued for printing and being sent out by commercial courier"

-Seems like the embassy are releasing more visas this 2nd quarter of 2010. Until now, my visa is still queued for printing ;D .

Can anyone of you guys tell the meaning of "MP" as stated by spicegirl?

My wife and I are still waiting for my visa. She is already a canadian citizen, I'm just wondering if she can visit the embassy to follow-up for our application? Will they entertain her?

MP stands for Member of the Parliament.

Embassy don't normally respond if you're still within the normal processing times but if exceeded, you may send inquiry on this link, https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=manila. Your wife may also ask assistance from her MP to inquire from CIC-Manila about status of your application.

Feb 08, 2010 - started processing and embassy requested for my passport
Mar 10, 2010 - sent passport to embassy
April - May - June -no response. E-cas still in process

Mar 10, 2010 - sent passport to embassy

You're still within normal processing times but I know what you're feeling as I'm feeling so stressed about this waiting game as well.

hi...

i am just wondering....would like to know or could give me some clear picture...of my case...for sure most of you guys could help me...

my husband rcvd the approval of sponsoring me last may 10 and i received a letter last may 26 from canadian embassy manila asking me to send my passport....

And on the same day (may 26) i personally visit canadian embassy, i thought i could personally hand over my passport to the immigration officer but the guard asked me to put my passport in brown envelope and drop it in a drop box located at the ground floor of rcbc tower or they called it drop box in "B4". I am worried if this will reach the office of the immigration officer or visa office since it is located on the same building. Would there be a case that they already lost the papers being submitted to their office using the drop box in "B4".


And if not, would there be a possibility that i could have my passport back with the visa soon....or will i have to wait for another months and months? How? Because I never pay anything for the courier services.

I'm new here but ive been reading for days now in this forum, Í just want to share my experience too similarity to yours, the canadian embassy ask for additional documents and I went there personally to give it to them, but they didnt allow me to go to their office instead they have box there and we need to put it there, I am wondering if it's in their possesion already. I havent heard from them until now, and im worried ..

did you hear from them yet? our status is still in process.

Here is my timeline

CPC-M -January 15, 2010
Sponsorship Approval -February 5, 2010
Embassy Manila Received Application -March 11, 2010
Ask for the Passports - March 18, 2010 (Sent Same day)
Ask additional documents -Letter dated April 14, but letter recieved on April 26, 2010
(Sent April 27, 2010)
Status - In Process
