Decision made, Can i get my photos back?

Hey guys, my PR processing is finally done, and now im wondering if i can get my photos, that i sent in with the PR application, returned back to me? I sent them about 50 pictures with details and dates on the back of them, and it took me a very long time to do them.

Has anyone here ever had their photos brought back to them?

Sometimes photos are returned and sometimes they aren't (it seems to at least partially depend on the visa office processing your application). I would drop the VO an email and ask if you can have the photos back. No guarantee they will be returned - but you can certainly try and you might get lucky. It's generally best to assume that anything sent with your application won't be returned.

I'm almost sure it depends on the VO. We got ALL our photos back (from Manila), but did not receive back any "originals" (documents) that we provided them with.

I got almost nothing back from London. Certainly, none of my photos.

You can ask for them,

I am sure that if you explain that you sent the originals
and don't have copies they will be kind enough to consider your request
they don't need them anymore...

Just curious: Did the Manila VO return any other items to you, i.e. marriage certificate & other original items that would be nice to have back for eventual use in other future administrative processes....?

I just looked at the form IMM 3901E it doesn't ask to send the original marriage certificate am i reading this right???

Correct. DO NOT send the original for UK applications..

When the visa office returns your passport, they normally return all personal items you may have included in your application. I got all of mine back.

I didn't get my photos back either as the document checklist says '' they will be returned to you once your application has been finalized' though. There were about 100 photos of us, our wedding,our family and friends. I went to a photographer to print them on fine paper wish I could get them back too.
