how long dose it take to oath/ DM Aug 04 2017

Hi Folks,

One of my friends has applied with his family of four (Two adults + two kids) as a family package. His wife and he had test and interview last week. Lucky my friend passed the test , but his wife could not. The office told to his wife you will get another test invitation letter in 4-8 weeks. My friend had checked the status online and the "DM" is there from "IP". Is he going to get the Oath letter with his two kids as he did apply under his application and his wife will get once she passes the test? or Both will get the Oath letter once she will clear her test?

Appreciate your feedback on this.

hi all,

i took the test on august @ scarborough office no DM till today?anyone with same situation?

i took the test in early Apr, DM in July, and no oath invite yet as of mid Dec...Still waiting...
Which office? Some offices have less ceremonies than others and it can take longer. In your case I would probably phone as six months seems rather long.

i wrote my exam on april 6 and still in progress i called them they are saying my application is routien and nothing missing any document....

Is there a point to keep checking on the CIC website for an update after it says decision made (like it does for the other steps) or just wait to receive something in the mail ?

Based on previous comments here from another forum, some received their Oath thru email and others thru mail. So I assume that if they started contacting you by email, you'll receive updates on email as well.
