When did you receive AOR? I got mine on Dec 22nd, and am tempted to order my notes now just to see if they reflect the same.

You may request now!

Not much info in it, really!

It was too early for me! I do not see any update, literally after 12/23 (aor date)...

They have not TOUCHED our profile! But this was till 11th Jan... If u request now, it might be 7th or 8th February and u might see some updates

Are you calling from within Canada?

I have ways of calling from Canada!

using VOIP!

I bought a number from flynumber.com

Guys, what did you do for proof of funds with USA bank account? Bank of America gives a letter with 6 month average and current balance on request. Is it okay to use that?

I used my Canadian bank account. Within the USA I use Huntington Bank and they refused to give me a letter, as did Capital One. You should be fine with the BoA letter; just to be safe I'd also attach the bank statements. (I'm a firm believer in giving too much info!)

Thanks for the response! I will give that too.

Waiting to see if anyone has already gone through successfully this with BOA.

Guys, anyone of you here used Bank of America for proof of funds? if so, did you use their average balance letter or something else?

BOA gives a letter - black and white!

It has account opened date, current account balance and average of last 6 months... In a table.

And the disclaimer notice which no one has read in last 100 years.

That has been accepted by CIC!

Thanks. I have seen that letter. Just wanted to confirm if it works with CIC or not. thank you so much!

But as mentioned by others, I recommend attaching last 6 month's statements along with that letter!

Just in case...

The BOA letter doesn't have any contact info (address, phone number or email) to verify the information. It is not an a letterhead paper (printed in B/W on white paper). It's not signed or stamped (as BOA refused due to liability).

I figured out you can get the exact same letter on BOA online banking website and print it yourself!

I searched the entire forum and couldn't see a single case someone used a POF from BOA so I didn't try to take a risk.
I decided to transfer all my funds to HSBC and they wrote me that damn letter the way CIC wanted!!
