December Application OINP

Hi everyone,

I am a July 2015 applicant and have not received nomination yet, waiting for 15 months... I received an email in March 2016 saying my application is at the last stage of processing, it has been 8 months now and OINP is not returning my emails. Anyone else in my situation, any information you got can help.

I also called the OINP and they replied that my application has been in a final stage since Sep 26 and I should be hearing from them soon. Also the operator said that if in 2 weeks I wouldn't hear from them I should contact them again.
Was he implying that the nomination certificate would be received by that time?
Did they start sending hardcopies of nomination certificate before updating EE profile? Guys, please share your thoughts. Obviously, something has changed in their practices.

Below is my application status with timelines.

Applied under FSW

Nomination Application Package submitted: 03rd December, 2015.
Acknowledgement received:18th April, 2016
Checked status on 22nd August : "pending review by an Investigator Analyst".
Received mail for Addition Documents from Investigator Analyst : 28th Sept, 2016. (15 day deadline)
Documents sent on: 04th Oct, 2016 (via email)
Received call from Investigator Analyst for verifying some details in my documents : 07th Oct, 2016 (lasted 20 mins)

He confirmed, within next 2 weeks I should be receiving a final decision in physical mail via Purolator.

Send them a fax if you have not already sent. That is the only channel of communication that guarantees swift and accurate response. In the fax mention your case number, EE profile and email and ask for an update on your application and they will reply back. There have been instances of OINP sending emails to wrong address and hence applicants missing it. Or in my case, my inbox was out of space so I never got the email.

If you call them and the "grumpy" guy picks up, he will out right lie to you to get to you end the call. The first time I called, a guy picked and after verifying docs, said my AOR was already sent on 'x' Date. (Which was true). Couple days later when I called, the grumpy guy picked and said AOR was not sent and will be sent after backlog is cleared. When i mentioned about the previous call, he rudely said that is not possible, why would OINP officers say that etc. Finally I sent a fax and that is when they resent me the AOR email.

I don't get it. What is this new system? I think they are sending out the nomination certificate and then sending or the nomination on myCIC profile.

I could catch hold of an officer yesterday again he said my file is positive and i should expect result in 2 weeks (such a relief). he also said I will get a courier and explained they will send Nomination Certificate and then we have 30 days to accept.

I could catch hold of an officer yesterday again he said my file is positive and i should expect result in 2 weeks (such a relief). he also said I will get a courier and explained they will send Nomination Certificate and then we have 30 days to accept.

No it will not be accepted as POF.

No, it's mentioned in the app guide that it must be readily available funds such as savings or current account balance.

Did the operator explicitly told you that the decision has been made and nomination issued? In my case, he was just mentioned that I should be receiving news from them in two weeks. When I asked him if the nomination was issued he was reluctant to give a straight answer.

that's not how it works. actually, the paper copy is just a proof of nomination.
what the operator meant was that the applicant will receive the nomination and the paper copy.
once a nomination is received, we get it in our CIC account and then have to accept it online itself.

I've been an avid follower of this forum and have gone through pretty much all the emotions that everyone else has been going through during their agonising wait. I finally got nominated on the 7th and got called out in the subsequent ITA on 12th. Below is my timeline for your reference. I really hope all of you get nominated in good time.
