True MZASAM. OINP is so fickle. I hope they expedite :).

How pathetic, we have no clue with regards the outcome of our applications and WHEN!!!.

Applicants are in a state of self-pity for a long span of time; OINP must realize :'( :'(

Antoman: IMO the draw date of 5 Oct is a speculation. Draw may happen or may not happen. Wait, watch and act.

Are you sure? I'm getting a bit worried because it's almost been 21 days since I received the phone interview and sent additional documents.
In theory if I receive nomination say tomorrow and then ITA from EE a week later, that would only give me 14 days to collect all of my documents and submit before my EE profile expires - instead of the 60 days I would be getting if I create a brand new EE profile.

Does anyone know if the OINP nomination would still be valid to attach to a new EE profile in this case?
So for example - I receive a OINP nomination on 4th Oct and then create a new EE profile on the 5th Oct and then contact OINP with the details of my new EE details.

Does this makes sense? :'(

Yes, they will send nomination again on your new EE profile. You may send them additional snapshot of your old profile (along with LOE etc) where they gave nomination and you accepted.

Definitely not a good status quo, but I still appreciate OINP because it gave chance to many applicants who otherwise are no where near to ITA. Ofcourse, other provinces are doing it quickly, but they are not accepting as many applicants as OINP does. OINP didn't discriminate while sending PT notifications. With time, I have started to understand OINP (or may be I have become numb), and I am sure they are working diligently.

Hopefully day of our nomination will come soon. Till that time, we can enjoy the thrill vicariously through our seniors :).

Profile freeze with ITA. If you get ITA profile will not expire.

Antoman, please ignore what I said. BestofLuck is correct. I missed "and then ITA from EE a week later" while giving reply.

That's what I thought but then I read in a different forum that it's only valid for that 12 months and then it's gone, it's so confusing :(

This is the post I was reading:

There is no such thing as "accepting ITA". Once you receive ITA, you have 3 options:
- decline the ITA
- submit your eAPR within the 60 day limit
- wait for the 60 days to pass, and your ITA expires.

Your profile validity only becomes irrelevant once you've submitted your eAPR. If your profile expires during the 60 days (before you've submitted your eAPR), you lose your ITA, and have to create a new EE profile and re-enter the pool.

Well said; remain under the influence of numbness.

Applicants hopes, wishes, aims, plans, aspirations, desires, expectations, ambitions, dreams
are the few characteristics that are a driving force with us. No one can snatch them.

after a good fast last week this sudden silence is too much

I called today, and a nice guy answered the phone and told me that my file is in last stage with the investigator analyst.

Could you please provide reference? As per my knowledge it can be created any time. Only thing is you can't have two active profile at same time. So if current profile is not expired, it needs to be withdrawn before creating new one.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1164&top=29

N.B. withdrawal will imply you're NOT interested in EE anymore.. better be safe and wait until it lapses

the same is mentioned in their emails, you can send them a query, they'll reply with the same.
