@DigitalDestiny...welcome back after a break !!!

It seems that OINP has removed all officers and called on ARMY to issue AOR and nominations!! over 2500 AORs in 45 days !!!!!

We are sure to get nominations !!!!! We will never loser hopes. I am prepared to give IELTS again and wait for 2 more years !!! To fight the system we have to be the part of the system.

Take a break while all applicants get AOR but come back with same enthusiasm and spirit. You will see nominations coming in the first week of September!

Hi Bestofluck,

Still not!
I submitted on 15 December and got AOR on 02/06/2016 and then nothing!

Appreciate your optimism and positivity @bestofluck. I hope your prediction comes true.

Also, I might be mis-understanding but OINP appears to be saying that they are only allowed to select 5500 immigrants (including dependents) for 2016

There are many ways to immigrate to Ontario:

The federal government determines the maximum number of nominations Ontario can award annually. Each year, there are about 300,000 immigrants that come to Canada. Of these, Ontario is allowed to select 5,500 through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) in 2016. This program, which represents only 1.8 per cent of total immigration to Canada, is targeted towards filling labour market gaps with skilled workers. It is just one option for immigrating to Ontario.

DAMN!

Peeps.

I think nominations priority are happening in this order:

Master/PHD streams
French stream
CEC inlands
FSW inland
HC stream

Guys, more evidence.....

To come up with TOTAL PNs, IRCC is counting PAs + spouses + dependants (refer to Table 3-3: Total nominations and total landings) at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/evaluation/pnp/section3.asp

@bestofluck, @RajKamal please go through the above URL including section "3.2. Profile of PNs" and share your understanding.

Bottom line, looks like if an OINP application has 3 members on it (PA + 2 dependents), province will have to give them 3 nominations as IRCC will eventually be issuing 3 PRs to them

Based on this, I'm at the bottom of the bucket. Oh well...I'll still wait and see. Who knows, some of us might get lucky.

DigitalDestiny: Let's go by the quota announced. 5400 NOM's for 2016. Approximately 5700 AOR's issued for all streams.. Difference of 300 - 400 NOMs.
OINP will utilize the NOM's from 2017 quota in Nov.

Maged: Why Damn.. We knew it all along. What's unclear is the pending NOM's from 2015. Can OINP utilize / or they lapsed. God / OINP knows.

Don't know how the nominations would work.

But I know one of my friend who also happened to be a December OINP applicant has got his PR this month.
I am sure there must 30- 40 ( maybe more ) more like him who must have already got there PR or nominations through
some other province or perhaps must be on their way to Australia.

You are missing the point.

Ontario can nominate up to 5,500 nominees for 2016 (Source - http://settlement.org/ontario/immigration-citizenship/immigrating-to-ontario/immigration-categories/what-is-opportunities-ontario-provincial-nominee-program-pnp/).

But the problem is, it doesn't mean 5500 PAs/AORs will get nominated as we had anticipated. It means One Person = One PNP Nomination = One PR. OINP can only help 5500 people (PA+Spouse+dependents) to become PRs.

DigitalDestiny: What according to you would be the fate of approximately 5600 AOR's issued until now.
We are 2 Principle applicant + dependen
t!!!
