If you get a receipt of your payment does this mean that they wont ask you to pay for it again and they have cashed the DD?

It is not true anymore. For some applicants whose DD's have got expired they also got receipt of DD but have been asked to re-submit the new DD.

So if you haven't got such instructions then you don't need to do anything. Moreover, check with your bank if your DD has gt en-cashed or not.

yes it does mean your application wont be returned as incomplete. They might ask for additional documents.

Looks like we are at the same stage. My app also reached on 18th Dec and I got the AOR yesterday with the request for a new draft. Can I know your NOC please?

apply for Work permit with same employer-paper based application, So you can still work under implied status of applied status and also have application for study permit, just to be as back up !
