In order for us to even go forward and sign this petition, we would also need applicants from January and February too to sign it. Does anyone know if the link as been posted in those threads?

Please refrain from doing such things. The officers are in no way obligated to put any applicants on the fast track nor is the OINP in any way required to speed up their process.

Understand that we are applying for a nomination and Ontario reserves the right to nominate candidates of its choice.

Petitioning would only aggravate the delay and in all probability, annoy the officers who I am sure are working round the clock to achieve their targets (whatever that might be).

My application's file number is in its 1300s and a person who sent in their application just 25 days before I did has 600-something as his file number. That is 700 applications in a span of 25 days! OINP seems short-staffed and I don't think they expected such a large number of applications. The fact that they've stopped issuing PT NOIs seems indicative of this.

I understand waiting is painful, but try and be patient. Hasty decisions might mess up things for others too.

I think the petition is more so for them to update their information so people are aware it is not 90 days. Information needs to properly updated and intention is not to rush them to process faster but its better to let people know the true amount of time you have to wait rather then the cookie cutter number they have given us. More so , yes we are hoping to get a nomination from Ontario but we have also handed over $1500 of our hard end money to them so they do owe it to us to be transparent with the process and the times. I don't think this will aggravate the officers but more so it would make them aware of our frustrations just like any population would strike for the government to know their concerns. So please understand this is not being done with bad intentions.

I think we are missing a point here... OINP doesn't owe us anything... The 1500 comes in to picture only after AOR is issued and that is why they say 90 days from AOR. Be patient or apply to other provinces which are mostly free of cost

+1. Nomination is NOT a right; it's a privilege. If they're tired of waiting, they should send them a mail to withdraw their application. I'm sure Ontario would respond in less than a week, and they'd have their $1500 back. By the way, my application got to them in December, and I don't give a hoot if I have to wait till end of May to get my AOR.

Relax and Remember Charlie Chaplin today on his 125th B'day. He said

" Nothing is permanent in this world, not even our troubles"

I understand your frustration but there is no need to get frustrated on the same thing everyday. Just wait for the AOR's to resume and I hope we all will get our application processed as stated by them.

Normally they dont send AOR on Monday so even if you expect some , it will be from today.

Dear friends,

I read all the discussion on both views, and I'd like to share my point of view.

I completely understand the whole frustration caused by the wait we are going through. I check this forum almost hourly hoping to hear some AOR/Nomination news, but I tried to look at it reasonably and came to the idea that all of us trying to get our nominations, are actually paying $1500 to buy "time".
Many of us are able to increase our score (by some additional graduate study or by improving English test results) to 460 and above and get direct ITA, but how much time, energy and money should we spent?!
Considering those of us who try to increase their score by education (including me, as a plan B), are we going to receive high quality education as we might get in Canadian universities? If the answer is yes, then, regardless of financial resources, we should spend at least 1 year for attending a specialization course (or more for graduate/post graduate studies) to get to direct ITA and then 4-6 months for post ITA process.

So, with respect to all my friends' views, I personally don't believe Ontario Immigration owes us fast AORs/on-time nominations just because we are paying them $1500 (also, take into consideration the fact that they are short-staffed for the huge load of applications got there). Instead IMO they are helping us to save some precious time to get to Canada/Ontario sooner than we could, and start our life with likely higher quality there. They will also get to choose applicants with highers scores (above 400) and possibly more suitable to their society. This is a win-win deal.

Hope you all the best and wish you speedy AOR/Nominations.
Positive vibes.

1 AOR per week is hardly encouraging but yeah something is better than nothing....... :-[

My only complaint with OINP is that they could have been more transparent and more forthcoming with their actual timelines.

They got lot of applications-fine, they are under staffed -fine, their 2015 quota exhausted - fine but at least tell applicants the new timelines .

With $1500 fee they could have staffed more people and run their PNP program more efficiently. Hats off to the provinces that are not charging anything and still successfully running their PNP programs without causing anxiety to the applicants.

Well I think this is just an temporary pause. Not to worry. And I also think they know the validity of DD so they must have en cashed the same . Now its just a matter of time. This cant be a staff problem or any kind of work load problem. This must be their strategy for some reason. lets hope they speed up again.

I agree that other provinces are working quite well.
