This is correct -- I received the Nomination, not the ITA. I'm extremely excited and, yes, getting ahead of myself a bit!
Congratulations for your NoM. Celebrate!!! Soon you will get ITA. Pray for all of us to get the NoM.

Got my Nomination an hour back. My application was submitted on Dec 21 2015 (dropped in person), received AOR on June 14, 2016. I am CEC inland. No emails, no document requests, no phone calls, no communication on my application.

It has been an excruciating wait especially as my WP runs out next month. But God is kind. Hang in there folks. Pray that every one gets nominated soon and the restlessness ends.

@ MZASAM

You will see more cases like this as their target date will come near. OINP should avoid those formalities.

[ Kind of a repeat ]

My EE profile is expiring soon but I've gotten an additional Info request and shortly after a notification that it has been moved in the decision phase - which should I do - create a new account or wait to see if I get nomination / ITA. Not sure which is smoother/faster ?

EE profile expiring the first week of November.

Any advice would be appreciated! Have a great day!

Seems you will be nominated as soon as you send add docs. Send them in 2 days mostly you will not have to make new profile if you get ITA before 2nd nov draw or else you will have to make new profile.

hey maged, i guess when the analyst has issues with a file..it is referred to a senior officer with a flag for further investigation, however, if the file is not flagged by the analyst they refer it just for a decision..i think someone has asked the operator about this before.

Both are diff. When file is refered it is refered for second or final opinion to sr officer. While file moved to decision phase is direct nomination.
here's the news: I called earlier today to inquire about the status, here how it went:

- I wish to know the satus of my application
- file no/name/birthday.. bla bla....
....
- your file is with a senior officer and will not take long to hear from us!
- but I never had a mail saying it moved to decision?!
- not always/everyone gets it
- so that means senior processing officer is the same as decision phase?
- not necessarily ... *facebalm*
- I haven't been asked for anything extra too
- maybe the officer is satisfied with your application!
- so what should I make of all that?
- it won't be long until you hear from us.. ok? bye!! <snap>
- me: dafuq!!!!! :-\

Hahahaaha Maged.. you know i am kinda starting to like that deep voiced man ;D
On another note i really believe what he said to us, last week December FSW applicants will be finalized this week or the upcoming week..i also believe that some of us won't be getting additional docs request..its lame to ask again for POF when we still have to show those for the federal processing and at landing as well..however, lets keep alert and hope for the best

i called an immigration lawyer from Brampton, Ontario i think..and according to him senior officers are responsible for decisions on All files, in some cases files of FSW and/or CECs with ties outside Ontario or suspicious documents in the experience proof..these files are flagged by the analyst and are referred to those senior officers for further investigation..this results in one of three alternatives:
1- the officer asks the analyst to send again for additional documents or phone call the applicant to clarify the missing points ( this has been reported several times on this forum)
2- the senior officer is not convinced and the invistigations proved misrepresntation or invalid intentions to reside in Ontario or inadequate experience/ NOC code..the procedural fairness is sent out
3- the officer is satisfied and takes the file to decision phase, hence the IT employee does some work therafter (checks the EE profile to check it for any other nominations and make sure it is ready to transfere the 600 points) later the applicant gets the points and the nomination certifiacte is sent out via courier

Maged: As I said earlier; you and Digital D did not get the additional doc request. It implies that your file is perfect and you will get a direct NoM soon.

I can explain this.

All files are distributed to Investigator/Analyst for processing, a processing officer as we call him/her

This officer process the file according to the checklist he is given. He is bound to follow certain rules. Now after investigating all papers, if he feels there are some documents missing or he wants additional docs he will send additional document req. After receiving those docs if he is satisfied he will finalize the file and complete the checklist with his notes and okay the file and send the file to Sr officer to sign. Here the file is moved to decision phase ( he may or may not send a mail ) as it is complete and Sr officer only signs the file, that is nomination. This is called File moved to Decision phase

now after receiving the docs if the officer is not complete with checklist say there are some LOE instead of docs than he has no right to okay the file but he puts his notes on the checklist and refers the file to Sr officer for final decision with details. These files are checked again by Sr officer and discussed with case officer. Here Sr officer takes final decision and signs the file i.e nomination. So this process takes some more days. This is called File refereed to Sr officer for Decision

So the sr officer is same. in first case he just sign the nomination and in other case he discuss with case officer and take final decision and than sign.,
