Important Note for Proof of Funds
Ontario will not accept any Fixed deposits with a joint name Even if it is supported by the letter from the Parents or Any family member. The FD has to be in One single name. Fathers bank statements are also necessary if they have transferred the amount in your name.
Anyone with joint name FD and supporting letter from parents or relatives kindly change the FD into Single name. No LOE is acceptable for POF.

If a person is married, and has a joint account with his/her accompanied spouse. A normal self-deceleration letter from spouse will work.
I had Single name FD which were more then required funds. Only few extra FDs I attached which were in joint name. But there was a general note at the bottom that all FDs shown must be in single name so I transferred all for safety.musicnlyrx said:

A. My parents gifted the PoF; 14 K CAD for 2, transferred from their back account through cheque, signed an affidavit that they will have no claim
over this fund and it's gifted to me out of love and affection.
B.. I am submitting all the pertinent details regarding Settlement / Proof of Funds.
1- Letter of Explanation
2- Affidavit, Settlement / Proof of Funds
3- Current Bank certification letter, Stating Indian Rupees & Equivalent CAN $
4- 6 Months Bank Statement
5- Salary Stubs Six Months
6- Father, Legal Gift Deed
7- Father, Affidavit
8- Father, Bank letter stating Indian Rupees & Equivalent CAN $
9- Father, Property, Net Worth Certificates from Chartered Accountant, Chartered Engineer

I also had same letter from father, but the funds were transferred just few back prior to application so We need to show fathers bank statements with the letter from the account the funds were transferred. Only affidavit does not work. Also keep ready the bank statements of Father when money was transferred. IF they ask for it you dont waste time like me. It took me 2 days to get them all.
Everything they have mentioned in email is very confusing regarding POF so I played safe. I got all docs stamped by Bank too which were not stamped before. I had one single letter from Bank showing all FD details which i got them separated. One letter for one FD.
Hope things end up well.

ya its fine. You need not worry. The funds transferred from parents you need parents bank statements too. Only affidavit or LOE saying the funds were gifted will not work.gregrdyer said:
