if we are out of canada at the time we receive the oath ceremony letter and if we want to get our oath ceremony rescheduled, for how long can it be rescheduled? Do we have any say in the time duration?

The reason I am asking this is, as per the usual timeline, I expected to receive the passport by April end, but there is no update on my BGC, LPP or anything except the Completed test (March 6th).

I have to go to India for few months and I want to finish the process before leaving..

Application submitted - 11 Dec 2024 - $630
AOR received - 18 Dec 2024
Office: Sydney
Citizenship test window - between Feb 14th and Mar 15th
Citizenship test - Mar 2nd (updated Mar 6th)

No updates since then .
Honestly, no one knows at this point. The processing timeline is 8 months so there is no guarantee LPP will be cleared this month and that you'll get an oath date. A lot of us December applicants are in the same boat as you where there has been radio silence after the test results were posted.
So I say, if you really want the citizenship, don't go to India until everything is done. Otherwise you risk a long delay by postponing things.

You might be even more disappointed after getting the notes LOL
I requested the notes and found out my file is just waiting for an officer to review and grant. IRCC basically has all the info they need to make the decision.
Lol...I saw your post on that earlier and I was like it would be good to know if everything is cleared out... but now i don't want to come back from India soon.. and I am already so disappointed

Based on what I’ve seen and heard, they’re currently inviting AORs from late October to early November from the Vancouver office. My AOR is from the beginning of December, and I was originally expecting an invitation in the second half of April. But at this point, I’ll be happy if it happens by the second half of May.

I finished my oath and have registered for pilot program for passport delivery.

Can any one tell me how long it took for you to get the citizenship certificate after the oath and receive passport via pilot program ?

Also if I am not at home cans someone else receive my passport or they will put it in mail box ?

Thanks
From what I know about my local London Drugs pickup spot in Edmonton, if the package is sent there, anyone who shares the same address as you can pick it up with ID.

My AOR was Dec 17, my BG completed in Feb 2025 much later than yours. I finished my Oath 2 days ago.
Based on the history people have mentioned that Vancouver office is bit slow. Hopefully you are on your last stage and will hear soon. I would say just keep some patience I know it can be frustrating, but you are almost done
Is your LPP done?

Congratulations! You are almost there! Hopefully this means they are moving through December applicants to review LPP. Any movement is good news for everyone.
Thank you!
I think this is good news for December applicants for sure. My application is apparently “non-routine” according to the call centre agent since I gave fingerprints. So if they updated my “non-routine” application, i would say it means good news for others.

I called again and the agent first told me Language and Physical Presence are not stared but Prohibitions are processed from the beginning of application submitted. Then I said I called two weeks ago and the agent was telling me LPP are not started so does that mean Prohibitions is now in process? She said no it is the same as 2 weeks ago, all 3 are not started. I am so confused now, lol, I dont understand why the agent is playing the game of word. But it is more and more ridiculous.

Perhaps what the agent meant by prohibitions are processed from the beginning is that early on in the application, the officer most likely sends your application to the CBSA, CSIS, RCMP etc. to run checks on you so it is technically in progress. The “real” progress/completion would be when the results come in and are reviewed by the officer.

Just my personal speculation, of course.

Yes ATIP and I made 4 separate requests under each government agency: RCMP, CSIS, IRCC and CBSA.
Look at my previous post to see the language I used to make the request. I used the same language for all 4 requests.
Hi, when did you order your CSIS notes? There are people who ordered them in November and still haven’t received them… I ordered mine in February - nothing so far.
