@DocumentJourney My timeline is similar to yours. It appears if the background check is not completed before Citizenship test, you should expect a fingerprint request. Fingerprint request is also received incase you have a complex application like lot of travel etc. Can someone throw some light on this?
Given how IRCC is reshuffling work and that a majority of the Nov and Dec applicants posting updated here have reported, I am not sure if that is accurate. yes, in the past IRCC didn't send test invites out until background check was completed but now it seems they are sending them out.

Also, fingerprints are sent out when the name and date of birth background check doesn't result in clearing an applicant or if an applicant's file has been selected for quality assurance. It has nothing to do with travel history.

a dumb question - is the Prohibition check the same as security check? such as when IRCC said "in the process of background & security check", it actually means the background and prohibition check?
Background is background check and is done by RCMP and security is prohibitions check which is dine by CSIS. They are 2 different checks. So you're correct.

Your other in-progress items need to be marked complete first (language skills, prohibitions and physical presence). And once all that is cleared, you'll get scheduled for the oath ceremony. Realistically, you're looking at another month or 2.

Guys, During the test, do you have to show your PR card to the camera.. What all documents you need to have while giving test? Should I scan documents like passport, PR card etc in a folder. Checking if we need to upload any documents for verification etc.

No need to scan anything. Yes, during the sign in process you need to show and take a photo of PR card, and then yourself. I just took the test not too long ago. Got 19/20 as temporary score. Make sure to read the Discover Canada book, I think it helped me a lot.

Thank you so much.
Yes, my test window has opened. I have finished reading the discover guide couple of times. Now I am doing the revisions and also doing some mock tests on the app citizenship. There are some mock test suggested by other guys here; I am feeling to write my test now. But I will do revision few more time and will sit for test tomorrow evening at 3 PM. Fingers crossed.. THANKS

Read this and watch the video tutorial. It answers all the questions you asked about taking the test
