Good luck everyone
Congrats !!
all your questions will be answered once you receive the email which has the notice to appear for oath :) i will show whether it is in-person or zoom oath and nothing to worry about the oath ceremony it is pretty much a straightforward event.

The email should come from now till 6 calendar days before the OATH scheduled date

Cheers

Hi everyone,
I had my virtual oath ceremony yesterday. Pretty straight forward as we only used about 1hr, 30minutes. When does it reflect on the online tracker? @KarRml has your online tracker reflected the oath ceremony you had on Monday?
Godspeed to everyone waiting.

I have applied for Canadian citizenship in December 2021. I completed the citizenship test on September 2022. Since then my process seems to be stuck. There were 4 “cold updates” (in November, December, March, and June) since then to my process, where only the “Updated” date changes but there are no real changes to the application statuses. Did anybody experience the same already? Is there anything I can do to see my process move forward? That’s super frustrating. I already saw people who applied in September 2022, and were already invited for their ceremony.

Since October 3, 2022 my statuses are stuck as follows:
Language skills: In progress
Physical presence: In progress
Citizenship test: Completed
Background verification: Completed
Prohibitions: In progress
Citizenship ceremony: Not started

I graduated at a 2-year program at Seneca College in 2017. I’m holder of the PR status since October 2018. I’ll have to renew my PR card at the end of this year which is very frustrating.

Can someone please help? Thanks!

Next month as you are completing 19 months you can call IRCC and ask for an update as it will breach the processing time and they can send a reminder to the agent working on your file. You can also take the help of your MP after the breach. Getting GCMS notes will also help you to see where your file is stuck. You also have an option to file for mandamus but its a costly option.

I think right now, paper applications of families with kids are the slowest ones, especially if it is being processed in Sydney, NS office. We applied in December (a family of 4). Our APR is in February 23 and we are still waiting for the test. Last update in the account was March 2.

Oath: In progress June 7, 2023 (updated June 9)
Oath Scheduled for June 29, 2023.
Congrats
When did you get test completed?
Which office?

Exactly mate. Nothing from SCR since the test in March

I applied on December 7th and was assuming it would take about an year for the citizenship. However, luckily my LPP got completed on May 17 and currently waiting for Oath to be scheduled. I was planning on a vacation in July but because of the uncertainty regarding when the oath will be scheduled (it could be next week or it could take a few months), I am not able to take the risk of booking tickets. As per the Excel sheet, time taken from DM to Oath ranges from around 15 to 50 days. Anybody in similar situation? I got my test invite from kitchener ircc.
