Dec 28, 2022 Online applicant here. I see that many folks who applied around the same time as I did got a GU, a test invite and even tests done. I haven't received anything other than AOR on Jan 13, 2023. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Also, I moved to the US after I received my AOR. Does this affect my application in any way?

You'll have to follow instructions on the test invite to let them know that you are outside Canada to sit the test from the US. From reports on this form, if you don't give them a concrete plan (itinerary/ticket) of return to Canada they might delay processing your application. Additionally, your chances of being be asked to attend an in-person or virtual interview are higher. As for oath, you'll need to be on Canadian soil to complete your oath

Also, make sure you maintain your PR obligations (2 years of residency in the last 5 years) until your Citizenship application is complete

Ah, gotcha. Thank you for the response. That makes sense. I will wait for the test invite then and let them know I am outside Canada. I could travel to Canada, write the test and be back. But, I dont think that counts right? They'd still want to know I am currently living in the US.

I will be able to maintain physical presence coz I applied as soon as possible with sufficient cushion (1122 days), and if I get my citizenship within normal timelines, then I'd have 2 years within 5 years by way of qualifying for citizenship physical presence

• your local police service
• the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
• an RCMP-accredited fingerprint company
  • If you use this service
    • bring your fingerprint request letter to the company
    • make sure they can provide you with a copy of their RCMP letter of accreditation.

Which one will be the best option ??
I thought it has to be done at service Canada.

Whichever place gives you the earliest appointment for a fingerprint would be the best option... Any RCMP accredited company or RCMP or local police will do
