Update received. Before anyone asks me about my BG, I don't know to be honest since I can never seem to create the citizenship tracker account. :)

Type: Online application
Location: Calgary
Physical Presence Days: 1190
Application: Single
Application sent: December 13th, 2022
Delivered: December 13th, 2022
AOR: January 4th, 2023
Received direct test invite via email: March 1st 2023 (Testing Window from 3/6 to 3/26). Any hints for preparing and passing is well-appreicated :)
This is how I studied:

1. I listened to the Discover CANADA audio book (3 times) on 1.5x speed and at the same time i had the book in hand with a yellow marker. I highlited key notes (dates, names, etc..)
(Audio book link)

2. I practiced online tests on these websites
https://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/ (questions in here are quite close to the actual test)
http://www.thecanadiantest.com/citizenship-test

The exam is easy, you have like 10-12 trivial questions and the others are straightforward only if you have read the book a couple of times

All the best to you

Was your application an urgent application?

People who have taken their test - after the last step (where you take a pic of yourself) do they ask you to turn on your webcam before starting the test or is it already on from when you took a pic of your id and then your face

I sent my application on 24th December. I got my AOR on 11th January. I got a ghost update on 18th February and still, nothing got updated. I sent my application at the same time with my friend. His background check was completed last week on Monday so it has been more than 10 days. Why is mine still in progress?
Because different humans work on different files .Some are efficient some are not maybe

Since these applications are for my parents (both seniors), I'm guessing their Language skills and Citizenship tests would be waived. Wondering what the next step would be

I have one confusion regarding photo id card required for citizenship test. Is Permanent Resident Card sufficient for test or one more photo ID card is required? Because my wife has only Permanent Resident card as photo ID card, she doesn't have driving license and new brunswick health card doesn't contain photo and signature.
