Hi All,

Outland application sent on 1st Dec and AOR received Feb 15th. Applicant in Canada, spouse in India. When I check the ECAS status, it shows medical request has already been sent on the 15th itself. Can someone tell me how this works? Will the medical request be a physical mail or an email?

Pls help. Thanks
If you indicated email for contact, email. Possibly to applicant not sponsor, depending on contact preferences.

Some receive by gckey and best to link gckey anyway.

Not to worry though, sometimes takes a few days for the email to go out (ecas may be showing in advance)

Hey all.

I am the sponsor of a Dec 21 2020 applicant. I got my AOR yesterday. Al-Hamdullah. Thank God. I was also able to link to my IRCC Acc. My current status is "Submitted".

Anyone know what next step is? I see next column is SA. How do I know when that is coming up?

Also right now it says "not needed" for Biometrics and Medical Exam. Does that mean the PA is exempt?

Cautiously saying congrats, it sounds like things are moving for you. Hopefully the AOR document arrives shortly. What you were going through, the doubt, uncertainty, and anxiety that an applicant or sponsor feels is what pretty much everybody else on here does or has during the process, as you have seen from reading the forum.

It's not over yet and there can be other delays along the way that will give you all the same feelings again. Just have to have patience, hope things continue to move a long and not get too stressed if yours is taking longer than others. Every app is different so it's very hard to make any accurate comparison to other apps.

Good luck.

I received AOR last night (email), all is well in my world and I'm going to buckle in for the long haul.. :S I know we are all feeling the same anxieties and it's painful and really, I feel for the people who have been wait since mid last year for the AOR. I still don't understand how they are handling these applications.

I know there will be hurdles along the way, but I think was really stressing me out was knowing if our application was correct and complete... as I had minor errors like abbreviating my province in my work history and the bar code pages were behind it's corresponding application rather than at the end of all the applications. Little things like that. I was just checking my mail daily with panic and at least I have some hope and maybe by October quarantine will be reduced/eliminated and I can travel to see my husband. It's already been a long 10+ months.

No one gets through without biometrics and medical exam. I think there are some countries that may be be biometrics exempt, but not sure. I'm just following my eCAS because I find the gckey confusing and not user friendly... I've been struggling with it.

Anyways, hamdoulla you received your AOR. December applicants have been quite fortunate.

It states on the IRCC Website:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/after-apply-next-steps.html
  • You’ll get an AOR after we receive your application and check that it’s complete.

So al-hamdullah this means that nothing was missing in the application and it's complete.

is eCAS the online application check?
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/viewcasestatus.do

Mine right now in here says " In Process "

When do we know to check off the SA Column?

I use this portal on IRCC: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

It will say "Decision Made" and this usually happens quick as I guess it's an easy process to check the sponsor. I've seen people get SA same day as AOR and up to a month.

So, as I though I still have the same UCI for 35 years lol.

My number is:
XX,XXX,XXX

My husbands is:
X,XXX,XXX,XXX

I thought it was funny...and mine is on the low end. I feel old now, there's been over 1 billion UCI's given out since I received mine. >.<
