The ECAS will get activated for your application once AOR is issued. You can use your UCI, name, DOB, and country to see the status.

Great news then, thanks for confirming. As of today, my citizenship application appears when I input my UCI, name, DOB, and country of birth.

Admin - can you kindly add my AOR date as December 17, 2020?

Thank you!

There is one more thing...
You will see the status as "In Process", and when you click on that link you will be redirected to another page that will have more details.
If AOR is issued then there should be a line stating that they have received your application on so and so date and then the second line will have AOR issued date.

Your ECAS access may be available because you have applied online.
Ah yes that makes sense. They have my home and mailing address listed and all I see is this, when I click on that link:

Citizenship
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 14, 2020.

No second line unfortunately.

Nvm Admin lol.

It seems your request for urgent processing is accepted and your application is opened and entered into the system. They may soon issue the AOR OR might have already issued and you will see the updated status in a couple of days.

So I guess thats good news then. Thanks @keypad. One last thing, they would explicitly mention "AOR" when they issue it right? I was under the impression that this may have been my AOR, given that it stated "Citizenship Application Status: Application Received."

Edit: I mailed in my application btw

I realized that you mailed in your application and edited my response already. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, they will mention your AOR date on the second line and AOR will be emailed to the email address you provided with your application. The online status will look something like below, where the third line is for when your local office starts processing:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on MMM DD, YYYY.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on MMM DD, YYYY.
  3. We started processing your application on MMM DD, YYYY.
