I hope I'm wrong but as a fsw o I don't see fsw o getting ppr soon based on current trends
Oh am I very aware that I don't think I will be getting PPR soon. However, as an American I can go to Canada as a tourist for up to six months, so the hope is that maybe by the end of my time there I will have received it. Truly - who know. It feels dire, though.

I totally feel you. This feeling is truly the worst :(

Hi everyone,

I received my ITA in July 2020 and submitted all my documents by Sep 2020. I finished my medical and biometrics too but there hasn't been an update since. I am an Outland applicant and I reside in the US. Does anybody know anything about how soon they'll resume processing our applications again for FSW? Is anybody else in the same boat? I submitted webforms asking about the status but they always say it's being processed so I don't know what else to do.

Thanks!

A lot of us are in the same boat. FSW and in general Outland applications seem to be on a tremt backlog. You can order gcms notes for a more detailed look at where your application is but I wouldn't expect any improvements until 2022 q1 based on the fact that they are only moving early 2020/2019 late apps now

Thank you for responding. I don't understand why they are taking so much longer when the travel restrictions have eased since last month. It is good to know that I am not alone though. Would you happen to know how to order gcms notes?

Hi @legalfalcon and others, I was wondering if I could get some quick help. Have hunted around and found conflicting things on both these questions:

1. I received my AOR in December of 2020 as a FSW-Outland. My contract with my current position (in the US) is about to end. It is the job that I used for my eligibility. Do I need to upload a webform to let them know my position is ending? What information do I need to include?
2. I am about to visit my girlfriend in Vancouver next month. If I receive my PPR while in Canada, do I need to exit Canada before I send my passport away or am I allowed to do certain next steps from within the country?

Thanks!

So tired of this long process that doesn't seem to be getting any shorter :(

1. The application is locked the day you submit it. Any changes post that does not matter. However, if you claim points for a job, you should inform IRCC that you no longer work there so that in case IRCC wants to verify your employment, they are aware that you are no longer employed.

It will have no effect on your points.

2. If you are in Canada or US, you will be asked to submit your passport to Ottawa. You can do that from Vancouver.

Hello @legalfalcon,

I just received my first GCMS note (Inland applicant) and it shows an Application assignment due date of 2021/02/27. Please, would it be wise to send them an email concerning the fact that the assignment date has passed? Maybe add that there seems to be no update on my application for a long time (I had been tracking through calls until Afghan happened).

Many thanks @legalfalcon

Nobody gives a shit about due date mate.

AOR - Dec 2, 2020
Primary Visa office - Montreal
Secondary office - Centralized intake office.

Unfortunately, you are in the same situation as many of us here.
I have a similar AOR, my application is also in Montreal, and eligibility hadn't been started as of last month.
All dates in my GCMS notes are beyond past due as well.
