Thank youNot really. There are rare cases when an application gets returned even after AOR was issued. But any other communication from CIC such as SA, biometrics request or meds request would mean they started processing your application.

You must be a Permanent Resident right? In that case use the PR card number option in ECAS and your details and you should be able to see at least that the application was received or any other information.Hello to everyone !
Application Received: Dec20
We’re watching others around our date get their AOR1, and still nothing for us. I can’t help but wonder why, but of course I’m gonna be patient,
But I see above in other replies that some of you could check ECAS, see something even though you had not received AOR1 yet.
and I don’t understand.
I tried to do it too using the payment receipt number, and the info of my husband (PA), but they are telling me I have passed the amount of attempts
Does it just mean I am really just not in the system yet? Or, could I be missing something?
On a side note;
I appreciate a lot this forum! I’m trying to apply for citizenship too in another country before we take residence in Canada, and we have nothing like this forum to ask questions. I am so amazed by what a team-vibe everyone has here. You’re all so organized and supportive. We truly are all a neurotic bunch though, aren’t we?
Thanks for responding we are from the same day, aren’t we?You must be a Permanent Resident right? In that case use the PR card number option in ECAS and your details and you should be able to see at least that the application was received or any other information.
I just checked and it was updated . Where does it say they need your finger prints ? When did you get it done ?Mine got updated right away but still says under the biometric line on gc key- we need your fingerprints to start your process.
You will see 'Decision Made' in ecas for the sponsor side.I received an email confirmation for SA, but is there something to be seen on GcKey or ecas for it ?
No... sometimes some did said getting a line getting added in the ECAS saying we sent you a confirmation on your eligibility (something on these lines) but for many SPonsor side just remains DM with the last line saying we started processing your application...I received an email confirmation for SA, but is there something to be seen on GcKey or ecas for it ?
