You would need to provide a quarantine plan. You wouldn't need to stay in a hotel.
The relevant order under the Quarantine Act requires a person entering Canada without symptoms of COVID-19 to "quarantine" themselves for 14 days and monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 during such period. "Quarantine" just means "the separation of persons in such a manner as to prevent the possible spread of disease." This does NOT mean that you can't stay with your family and you are not required to avoid all contact with them.
Here's the federal guide for travelers without symptoms. It says clearly that it is permitted to "live with family/friends who have not travelled with you provided you have a separate bedroom and bathroom,
if possible" and to "use shared spaces such as a kitchen, provided you limit interactions with others . . . and keep surfaces clean."
By the way, there's no obligation in this for anyone coming into contact with an asymptomatic traveler to themselves self-isolate.
