My wife and I have passed the citizenship tests today with unofficial results 19/20 both.

The only technical difficulty I'd like to mention is that both built-in and USB web-cam I tried to use on Apple iMac were not capturing picture of ID in a good quality - it was very blurry. I tried many times, even added light - it was not possible even to see names and dates on the ID (I used PR card). It looks to me that it was a problem with focusing on a short distance due to camera specs.

Fortunately I have MacBook Air handy - immediately logged in with it and its camera provided a very good result - the picture of PR card was superb!

So, I'd recommend you test your computers / cameras for taking pictures from a short distance (realistically 30-40cm) if it works fine. I believe it can be done in advance in another application / standard software. Otherwise, it may be a potential problem with ID proof during the citizenship test.

By and large, I'd say Discover Canada is the only source you need indeed. ;) Good luck to all!

Quick question, once you completed the test and you passed did you get another confirmation mail from CIC for the test before you moved to DM. Cuz I can see you moved from Test passed to DM within 5 days?

Congrats.
Thanks for the note on testing the camera. Regarding testing webcam, do you mean we would try to test using some video calls?

Thanks. Yes, something like this. Maybe try to use Zoom / Teams / Skype or basic Windows / Mac software and locate your ID as close as to have it on 30-40% of the screen to check if it is blurry or good enough to read letters and dates.

Another tip - don't forget to deactivate your VPN in case you are using it on your device. Especially if VPN server masks you location and shows that your IP is somewhere else not in Canada. I don't know if the citizenship test web-site checks IP of the examinee, but to be on a safe side, it's better to limit any risks for a peace of mind. It's important since a person must be in Canada when taking the test.

Who here completed their test 15-18 of March and has received an oath or interview invite already?

Hello,

Test was taken yesterday and passed with 17/20. Can someone please add the below details on the spreadsheet?
Thank you.

Hello Everyone,
I'm 2019 Dec. Citizenship grant applicant, I received online test invite this month on March 3rd, 2021 and I have done my test on March 21st and got passed.
But after a week when i checked online application status website it shows Decision Made but doesn't say Approved or Refused. Now two thing popped in my brain
1. I haven't received any interview invite or nothing. Now is this common not sure what to take from this outcome (happy or sad).
2. I haven't seen any email or mail coming through at this point. Will it take time to get this update or do i need to reach IRCC customer service.

Appreciate your knowledge sharing.

1. Interviews are random these days, so looks like you won't need one.
2. Your next one would most likely be an Oath invite. How long this will take only God knows. Some get faster others wait longer. Look through the spreadsheets and you'll get a general idea of your wait time.

Test done on Mar 5th No update yet.
I'm in the same exact situation. I did the test on March 5th, I called a week later and they said that my test result is official; but that I am not ready for "Decision Made" yet. Still waiting and still "In Process".

So a couple months to decision made and then a couple months minimum to the oath plus one month for the passport... gotta wait another 5-6 months...

This is how I predicted the longest waiting time for myself as well.
However, it may be cut in half with a good luck ;).
Let's rest positive ;).

Kind of reasonable timelines! Yet fastest given pandemic. All those getting processed should rather be happy and grateful.

I did test 2 months ago, but happy to be at DM as of now. Hopefully, will get Oath invite soon.

Good luck to you and everyone!
