Hello everyone, is there any update for expired COPR holders as well as other outland Dec. 2019 applicants?

I've recently got graduate admission offer to McMaster next Winter 2022 intake and am also still waiting for another decision from Ottawa and the University of Colorado - Denver in the US. Either way, I have to deal with dual intent on my visa applications since I have PR applications in both countries.
No update, is there any thread for expired COPR holders?

How are my outlander comrades, waiting since Dec, 2019 feeling about no progress in our files? Did anyone got some update recently?
Been a silent reader for long, seems the wait won't be over at least till mid of 2022, which is heart breaking :(
Dec 19, 2019 here. It's not been easy as one kind of put other plans on hold..but I pray we get some good news soon...we deserve it...

@Alicia Belle
Yup, sometimes it seems like time has stopped, we all had plans, ok if not 2020, I will be in Canada in 2021, but it doesn't seem like its going to happen. The bad part is the communication from IRCC, they should at least tell us when would they start processing our files now that things are looking better, at least in Canada as vaccination is around 60%. I guess we all know things could be unpredictable but some update would be nice.
I am trying to be positive and working hard to prepare for the move whenever it happens.

I would like to apply for tourist visa to visit my brother and sister in law (both of whom are Canadian). But I have received AoR in December 2019, which means I would like to emigrate to Canada. How do I apply for tourist visa then, since tourist visa is only for people who will return to their country of origin? How to apply for Dual Intent?

Don’t say that please.
no way in hell they can complete before mid 22, there are 100s of thousands of applications backlogged at this point, I suspect they may not even process and return the money. This is a giant mess they've created. Personally I've went ahead with my life where I am, no more putting things on hold.

Whatever floats your boat brother

I have the same question. @legalfalcon any idea if pending PRs can impact a tourist visa application?

No it won’t impact your tourist visa, my girlfriend has her PR application with aor on dec 2019 as well. We applied for her visitor visa with extended family exemption on dec and 2020 got the approval by feb 2021 .
also I believe IRCC has updated their dual intent policies as part of COVID.

Received an email from IRCC to do survey about moving plan and impacts of COVID-19 response measures to EE applicant’s life. For the questions about the immigration services of IRCC, I selected the most negative answers to all of them.
Yes .I also got the survey email.
