You are a little paranoid about it. Just relax and wait till end of 2021. No one is going to cancel your application. It's pandemic, wait till the corona is gone
yeah perhaps. just had a can of corona beer, now, it is gone....
well, not funny....

Hi Dec 2019 AOR here!

Recently got my GCMS notes - and came to know that my application is approved. But looks like the wait for the CoPR will be a long one - and you know what, that's ok - because I'd rather travel to Canada when there are no travel restrictions - and not have to struggle more than is strictly necessary to stay there/get a job/settle down.

Anyone else in the same boat - or raft? haha - Where you know that your application is approved, but you have to wait for a global pandemic to subside before you can even begin to expect the CoPR?

I applied for a PR application in Dec 2019 and was on a one-year PGWP which will expire on March 2021. I applied for an extension and got approved till April 2022. However, at the end of the document, it states that "Temporary Resident status maintained as per R183(6)". Does this mean that the visa is implied status? Can I apply for a TRV based on the work permit?

All TR workers have consitions to the WP pursuant to 183 and 185.

Continuation of status and conditions

(6) If the period authorized for the stay of a temporary resident is extended by operation of paragraph (5)(a) or extended under paragraph (5)(b), the temporary resident retains their status, subject to any other conditions imposed, during the extended period.

You are not on implied status, instead your PGWP has been extended pursuant to any conditioned that you had before.

However, since your PR is in progress, you could have applied for BOPW and there would have been no conditions.

You’ll probably have to wait for a long time, if you expect to settle / find job easily

Actually my situation is quite different. I have a job waiting for me in Canada and since I live in US and close to the border, travel restrictions are not really an issue. In my case the wait is just likely going to cause me to lose my job (they will not wait forever...).

Oh :/ if there are few travel restrictions, wouldn't you be able to cross the border in time for your new job's first day?

My application is in the same status since April 2020 (see my signature), so I would need them to complete it and issue CoPR. If they would do that I would be able to cross the border tomorrow. Unfortunately, I just called IRCC and they suggested me to apply for a Work Permit, which is kind of ridiculous. No sign that my applications will be approved before late 2021 (at best).

Yep still waiting. Inland, EE FST, Dec 8th 2019 aor. November gcms said no update since Feb 2020, sec not started, recommend passed.
I have to apply for second bridging visa shortly, has anyone here had to apply for a second one?
I am still waiting. My AOR was Nov,2019. I am a FSW inland. GCMS notes says approved but no the document stage is COPR and no update on the GCMS notes since May,2020. I had to apply for my BOWP the second time and received it in short time (Around 60days). Do you have any update on your pr application?
