No, there is nothing negative or positive. It is your choice. If you re-do the meds, they will be valid for another year, and IRCC will not have to send your expired meds for reassessment.

Alternatively, you can wait and see if IRCC extends your meds or asks you for re-meds.
Thank you @legalfalcon, for your prompt response. I am thinking to do volunteer re-medical because it looks like they have forgotten about my application, the agent told me my file hasn't been touched since May 2020.

@legalfalcon and others - I am an FSW-O applicant who has applied for PR with my wife and got invitation in Dec 2019. After waiting for more than a year, I got the email from IRCC to do the medical test again, around 2 weeks ago. At around the same time, my wife starting getting symptoms of pregnancy and after a doctors visit it was confirmed. The doctor has adviced not to take any xray, which I understand from my wife was a part of the medical test done around a year ago. Is it possible to get all the other tests done except the xray and submit the medical test to IRCC. Will it get cleared? After a wait of almost 1 year, I want to avoid any further delays in my application to get processed. Would be helpful for any advice on what to do here and how to best handle this situation without further delays in processing of my file.

YEs, IRCC already has a protocol for applicants who are pregnant. The panel physician will conduct the medical exam except the x-ray and provide you with the sheet - https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/department/partner/pp/pdf/imm5733e.pdf

So in short, application will be delayed till the baby is born?

After you baby is born, you may be asked to provide the missing medicals. However, the application will continue to progress.

Yes. You cannot get PPR without valid medical, and wife cannot pass medical without doing x-ray.

There's another option. Not sure if the doctor informed you about it. The wife can do the x-ray exam with a protective belt which should be available at the hospital. I know an online friend did this and she passed the exam. I am not sure the chances of risk, so consult with the doctor. It's absolutely you and your spouse's decision. My post is to just inform about that option.

Canada just sent 27k ita on the latest draw today. I think they will get priority more than us. Do you think it will delay our processing time? It is already more than a year now, it is getting really frustrating now.
That's a reality, they are prioritizing CEC. It will take them months to process those invitations!

I think we, outland applicants, should come together and submit some kind of public complain to Canadian congress members in order to get outland applicants a fair chance to proceed. Whether they approve or deny our application, they should make it clear and get it done. They can just finalize our applications and then we can wait for PPR later rather than being left forgotten in limbo like this.

I'm inside Canada, with my dependents, and still stuck in the security check since January of 2020! Application submitted in December 2019. So it seems there is no difference in there system.

I am an inland applicant and waiting for my PR since November 2019. Have any inland applicants received their pr recently?

Hi Guys, are there still pending FSW-O waiting for their PPRs here? Based on my GCMS notes, my application has already been approved but still no CoPR yet issued. I really don't know what to do anymore. I've been waiting for more than a year now.
