It’s my 13th months after AOR and my security has not started yet, left alone the already expired medical result. It’s a tremendous frustration for being stuck in the middle of nowhere like this!
Same boat...expired medicals and security hasn't started! ((

Hi @legalfalcon and fellow members, I know these question has been asked number of times but i really need to clear confusion going around. My medicals has expired on 11th of Dec and still there is no update in my account or haven't received any mail for remedicals . Should I give my medicals and provide it to IRCC or wait for their instructions??

That is your choice. You can go for a re-med yourself, or wait for IRCC. IRCC will only ask for remed if no extension is given.

I would suggest that you should wait until IRCC make their decision on whether they will extend your health check result or they ask for a remedical. Just be patient for now!

I would like to ask, Is it possible to leave Canada (inland, main applicant) and wait for their decision from outside of Canada? The thing is my AOR is DEC 2nd 2019. Criminality in progress for a long time.. My common-law would stay, I want to leave for 2-3 months to arrange a few things. Would it be risky or affecting my application? Thank you

I think it is risky. There are a lot of indications Canada is going to tighten intl travel restrictions soon. I would not leave unless absolutely necessary. Just my 2 cents tho

Dear @legalfalcon , KIndly help me with the below query:
- Can I work for US Employer from Canada (Remotely) on Canada PR but without informing the US Employer. Is it legal? (Please note I have a valid H1B Visa.)
- Will it arises any Tax complexity at the year end?

YEs, you can. As a Canadian PR, you can work for any employer in Canada or abroad.

As regards working for US employer, you may have withheld taxes in the US, for which you may have to file US taxes and also Canadian taxes as you are a Canadian resident.

Hello everyone... in case of a new born baby, how much extension may be granted for landing in canada beyond expiry of medicals? My primary concern is to take care of the baby for first few months. I will redo medicals of my family...kindly suggest @legalfalcon.. thnx in advance

If you have not landed in Canada, and your family composition has changed, you have to inform IRCC and add your baby to your application, even if the child is non-accompanying.

As regards extension, there is no specific limit, you can seek extension and currently due to COVID IRCC will allow you to stay back and reach out when you are ready to travel.
