I got this mail from CIC today.I checked my profile but there isn't any update.Progress bar shows 12 days remaining-

We're still working on your application.

You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.

We send messages to your account if we need something from you. When we do that, we'll also send you an email to this address

I have a theory about this "We're still working on your application" email. People who have received this email have completed their biometrics in a VAC office that has been reopened recently.

Nope. It doesn't apply to applicants from India.

Hi,
This is my first post. I am PNP outland in USA (AOR DEC 16 2019). I tried to call them today but they are not accepting calls related to Outland applications. I could not connect to 888-242-2100. It rings but there is no automated/human response. I did not get any options to get connected/speak to an agent. I figured that they can detect out of country phone numbers and are ignoring them. Then I asked my brother in Canada to call and see if he can connect. He could connect but did not get further options to speak to an agent once he entered application number. So, I think we will have to just wait until borders start opening up. Has anyone else tried to contact CIC successfully?

After getting the landing/approval email last May 26, my CIC Profile was updated to APPROVED today and also received the same letter last May 26.

To all those waiting, dont lose hope and be patient. You will get that golden email soon! God bless!

Not me which is concerning lol! However I rang IRCC and they just confirmed application is still in progress and any approval, rejection or additional information request would be by email. I previously had the email with 'Background verifications are valid', along with criminality, security, medicals valid, and they confirmed that eligibility checks are part of the background verifications! So hopefully there's no reason for concern.

Don't worry this was more of a technical glitch, even people with COPR received those emails, I even got for the profile which was ineligible so, no worries at all

I got a ghost update on Friday 29 May, so i'm guessing thats when it was changed to passed.
