As long as you stay in the nominating province, you can work remotely for any company in Canada or outside.

The only criteria is to reside in the nominating province.

It appears to be technical glitch, received the same email on 2nd June 2020 as well.

I got the same email twice. I even saw my application profile updated but I cant go into the account. Their website is not working.

You have to provide some context to your questions.

What is your Country of residence. Where did you send your passport to, did you send them to VFS or to an embassy.

Currently CPC-O is not work or working with limited staff. Did you try sending any email to CPC-O at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

I too have received the same mail just 5 minutes ago and had earlier received it on 2nd June 2020 as well. It seems a technical glitch. I am also waiting for any further update. Dec 16 AOR

I think they send this out automatically near the 6 month time, 1 year time, 1.5 year time....etc It would make sense why a lot of us in Dec would receive this email now.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, i have emailed but no reply. I do see almost all people getting their passports within 10 days or less from Ottawa on myimmitracker. So looks like the center is open.

You can rely on any tracker, but Ottawa is in a red zone. Most IRCC offices are closed. You can try sending another email or a webform.

Congratulations mate, I also received same day. You have to submit your passport before the deadline on your ppr letter else it will be assumed you are no longer interested. I'm believing restrictions will be lifted before the expiration of our COPR. I am a Nigerian,the VFS office here accepts passports through courier services. All the best

You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.
We send messages to your account if we need something from you."

Also having problem accessing my account......not able to login....Hope they have started working on our applications...

It looks like a glitch, I have got 2 emails just like yours this morning and website seems to be down.
