@legalfalcon I need your valuable response regarding my situation.

I was requested to provide a LOE (Additional Document) on Aug 12, 2020 and I provided the requested document within the mentioned time frame. The last update I got was - "September 28, 2020 we are reviewing the additional documents you provided" after that till date I haven't received any info regarding the additional document I provided it's been close to 2 months.

Based on your knowledge, may I know roughly how much time it make take to review the additional documents and also once the review of additional documents is over how much time is required to make a final decision regarding my PR application?

Thanks in advance
I was asked for ADR on 15th August and I provided it on the same day. On August 20th it changed to "we are reviewing....". On October 30th I got an update and it changed to "not applicable". It took 70 days to get that update. so maybe you'll hear something soon. but again every case is different and dealt differently. I guess it also depends what your ADR is.

Hi @legalfalcon . Please I need your advice.I am a PNP Outlander.
I have received ppr email on the 16/11/2020 from CIO and sent the passports on the 19/11/2020. Now I realize that the passports will not be back before a month. Also my wife is prégnant and her due date is within the next 8 weeks. I don't know for how long my medicals have been extended as they are expiring on december 26.I just realised that pregnant women are not usually allowed to board a flight after 36months of pregnancy. So the child would be born outside Canada. I have the following questions :
1- should I inform ircc now by replying to the ppr email and/or sending email to the visa office they indicated in the ppr email?
2- should I wait until the child is born before informing Ircc?
3-if the child is born after the copr is expired or I am unable to submit the child document or they proccess it and give the child TRV and New COPR before the COPR expiry date, what should I do?
4- currently how long does it take to benefit from health insistance that can cover the cost of delivery upon arrival in Alberta?

Medicals expiring on November 20, 2020.

The counterfoil document says that it expire on September 29, 2021. The date on the medicals still shows the old expiration date. Can I assume that they have extended our medicals until that date? @legalfalcon

Good luck to everyone!

Did you take a look at activity section of your new GCMS note as well?

There might be some new activities
Wat section of activities you mean? There is a lot of subactivities under many topics.

Another thing I noticed a field called as "Next Recalculation date" in the Assessment section of GCMS notes. It is showing as 2020/11/01. Any idea what this means @legalfalcon ?

Generally GCMS notes have 4 important sections after page around 30 of the note. The first two are "Incoming" and "Outgoing" sections which relate to documents sent or received between you and IRCC. Even your webforms and calls would be put down under "Incoming" sections. After these two sections and fee section, there is the "Activity Section" in which all the activities conducted on your application are recorded. Unfortunately, the dates of activities are not presented in this section, but you can find very useful information in this section. Look at the latest activity in this section (activity 1), if subactivity type is security, you are at security stage, if it is blank, it could be security screening. Just make a comparison between the two notes in this section to see if there are other activities since your first note or not.

After this section is "Note" section, which contains notes from officer and case analyst and some other important changes that agents can leave in this section, for example when you renew your passport or change your address, a note would be left by IRCC agents in this section. if an application is approved, there would be a "note 1" that signifies the final approval of your application.

about your second question, isnt 11-01 your date of birth? I think its about the score one loses after this date, which of course does not affect you

Hello everyone I received my AOR on December 4th inland Canada but at the end of the application it only showed $1040 and nothing in regards to the biometric $85 fee. do i have to wait for them to send me a message or something so i can pay the biometric fee ? the reason im asking is that as of today even inland people have to give biometrics in the newly assigned SOCs

https://www.cicnews.com/2019/12/foreign-nationals-now-need-to-submit-biometrics-to-apply-for-permanent-residence-within-canada-1213292.html

Also how can i get added to the whats app group ?
Hi, I cleared my medical in nov,27,2019 (Inland Canada) and since then I have no updates on my PR. Have you got your pr?

Thanks for feedback. I do not have 'Activity section' on my notes. There are some parts where there is a blank page and it says "Pages 120 to 139 are not relevant". It says this, for example, after my fees section.

The last note is ***Officer Review*** All requirements met. APPROVED.

11-01 is not my birthday and they have definitely gotten my birthday right on the notes.

Hi, I wanted to confirm if you have received your passports back after Visa Stamping? As you mentioned your PPR Date Nov 12, 2020 and Passport Received Date Nov 16, 2020. Passport Received date is when Ottawa Office received your passports or you received passports back?

It looks to be passport received by the Visa Office. Since, I am at a similar situation. My AOR is Dec 13, 2019. Medical expires tomorrow (Nov 21, 2020). I received PPR on Nov 16, 2020. Sent passport on Nov 16 and received by the Visa Office on Nov 17. My status in CIC portal has been updated to Approved today (Nov 20, 200). My expiry date in counterfoil says Sept 26, 2021 but Medicals did not get extended. So, not sure if we can consider that as the expiry date.

Hi,

Wow, your timeline is almost exactly like mine. That’s really interesting. My counterfoil expires on September 29, 2121 but my medicals did not get extended either. Hopefully that will be the next step. Looking forward to receiving our passports back from Canada.

@legalfalcon I need your support on my below query. Please reply. I received COPR on 28th October 2020 and it valid until 30th Jan 2021. Currently I cannot travel as still travel restrictions are there. But I'm ready to travel if they allow. Can I ask for travel authorization? Please advice on how can I proceed. Thank you very much.

Currently IRCC is not allowing anyone of you are not exempt. However, if you have a family member in Canada, you can apply for exemption under immediate / extended family reunification. For immediate family you do not need a travel authorization, for extended family you do.

However, you can definitely send a webform and inquire.

I raised webform on 3rd of Nov and received it yesterday. It says

The eligibility requirements are passed.
The background verifications are in process.
The security background verification has not been initiated.

Does this mean my eligibility is passed? and the next step is securtiy?
If this is the case than why background verification is showing in process?
I'll really appreciate if someone can clear my doubts. Tia

In your case most likely your eligibility is passed or recommended passed. Only after the eligibility is conclusively passed by an officer, the security is initiated.

Hi. Is there any reason why security checks are taking so long these days?
A number of friends and I are stuck in A-34 comprehensive screening for 6 months now. And I am told there are many applications passed the criminality and eligibility, but security is not initiated for more that 4 months now

Does it mean that CBSA and CSIS are busy with some others tasks ro sth?

@legalfalcon

There are two factors, one is administrative delays, which is largely due to COVId operational difficulties. Another is an application being in enhanced security screening. If an application is in enhanced security screening, then it take an awfully long time. Earlier it could take as long as 1-2 years only for security, but the time lines had reduced to a few months.

In your GCMS notes do you see any security related activities?

To read on security screening in general, and the security screening manual see https://bit.ly/36Sdw1i
