Did not help for me. Still getting back to the home screen with language choice.

Keep trying. It loops over and over for anywhere from 5-10 times, then goes through. Happened to me about 3x.

Our VO also slowest too. I don't think they are overwhelmed but I have no clue why they are not processing. I have to wait 8-12 months. I will be happy if they process earlier :)

Yea, I have not seen a lot of applications for Beirut, so I'm not sure how overloaded they would be, however, I have been to Beirut and from what I saw, efficiency is not important there. ...at all. Fingers crossed for you! Where's your VO??

That's a good point! It seems like everyone is posting expectant messages and gleeful DMs, but at the same time there's actually a whole silent bunch of us who either have heard nothing from VO, haven't even been transferred to a VO at all yet, etc. Probably is important to remind people that you're not the only one. Lord knows I find it infuriating to see yet another couple sent as "straightforward" to CPC-M and I'm over here like what the BLEEP about my case made it so not-straightforward?! I honestly do find it reassuring to see people posting from Australia and elsewhere who didn't go to CPC-M! :)
It is so true, everyone here would claim the relationship is genuine and his/her case is straightforward to be the least. Unfortunately, it is not the case in the eyes of IRCC.

Sometimes I wonder if we’re better off going in to hibernation and setting a loud alert for CIC emails :p

If I redesign IRCC website, I would add a BIG "Check Status" button, and when people click on that button, it will say this, "It has been X days Y hours Z minutes since your last check. YES, we are still processing your application. NO, there is no update yet. If you would like to check the current status, please click on the Check Status button." I think this will make some people believe their application is safe and sound in IRCC and being processed. At least, it looks like the timer still ticks:p

Or you could subscribe auto email update with the same message with the interval of your demand, every minute, every hour or everyday if you don't mind blowing up your inbox.:D

This could be fun, adding more interactivity between IRCC and applicants...;)

@ArtMed We have had the same thing happen to us numerous times. Sometimes I just give up for the day and try again the next day and then it goes right in with no problem. Just be rest assured, it's not on your end and not only happening to you. Could always try a different web browser and see if that works but for me the best is just to leave it be and try again another day.

I like your spirit! It's important to be positive. For me, I have waited 38 years for a husband like mine, so another 9 months won't kill me. o_O In the end we will all be reunited with our loved ones.

Okay, I know I'm a softie but your message made me tear up! I know what you mean and I'm so excited for you! Once this is all done, it will be worth the wait :)

And for a person who didn’t even knew where to send the application or spell parent’s middle name correctly from a piece of paper, it is very easy to point fingers.
I’ve read through this persons post history and none of it makes any sense. RO stands for residential obligation and why he has picked this thread to rant about advice he’s been given is beyond me.

Firstly, in the below thread posted 26 days ago he asks whether he can sponsor his wife when he’s not met his RO:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/sponsorship.615415/
However, now apparently she’s landing in the next few days. o_O

He’s made similar posts since he created his account and received advice from @scylla, @canuck78, @zardoz, @steaky and countless others across multiple threads.

We have many people on the forum who’ve picked up an awful lot of knowledge and have been happy to pass this on to others during their own time. We should be very thankful to them. :)

The whole post doesn’t sit right with me at all.
You are right I made multiple posts to ensure I receive everyone's idea. But can you tell me why everyone advised against applying??? My point is: don't advise people if you are not sure about what you are claiming! And I really don't understand the relationship between mistakenly entering info from a paper document and pointing my finger at someone! Doesn't make sense! Every one make mistakes! Anyway, I know this is out of point for u guys here. Sorry for being a pain in ur necks!

Hello,

Does anyone know why issuing biometrics letter can be delayed? is there any standard time for receiving biometrics instruction?

Thanks

@schweisy hit the nail on the head with this one:

The main point of this is that you are incredibly lucky if you've managed to achieve sponsorship for your partner, everyone on the forum has provided you with advice from their own knowledge and cases they've seen on these forums. Nobody claims to be an immigration lawyer and we can only offer advice from the articles, cases and documentation we have available to us, and all of this is done in our own time remember.

Hello Guys,

My originals docs were sent back by CIC on the 28th of March to India. Does anyone know if they will be using normal post or express/priority post?

A bit nervous coz there are 3 original docs.

Thanks!!
