I don't think you will find much support for this sentiment here! :D

I mean based on the other threads I didn't expect to see medical request until late in the process, but I guess many of us were lucky to get them quick, provided it doesn't take over a year to process everything else. Won't be happy if I have to throw money away for another medical.

When I first started this process in November things were moving much slower and AORs were taking anywhere between 70-120 days.

On that basis I set myself up for expecting AOR in late Feb, early March. It came in Jan and I was pleasantly surprised, since then the rest has been a bit of a whirlrwhind for many in the November thread. It’s good to see that Sydney has seemed to get better as the months go by.

My sense is also that the timing of the MR is often much more dependent on the actual VO that will be processing it. Many of the slower VOs, especially the African and Eastern European ones, seem to request way later in the process in order to prevent that exact situation, where the medicals expire before you can land. I think a MR earlier in the process is a glimmer of hope that they do expect you to be done before 12 months.:)

You are right ! I feel the same way seeing the Medical Requests.

Agreed as the medical only lasts for 12 months.
In the past where the process could take up to 2 years it would make sense to complete the medical much later in the process.

Things definitely look to be getting quicker with each passing month so fingers crossed everyone’s processed as quickly as possible.

Some timelines looks like they dint even care the Medical results before transferring it to a VO.

If you apply outland USA to Canada and send your file to Sydney is the whole thing processed there or is it sent elsewhere? Any other US to Canada applicants?

The local VOs for the US are Los Angeles and New York. However, a lot of US applicants seem to be getting sent to Mississauga at the moment.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen any that weren't sent to Mississauga from the November/December applicants?

From what I can remeber from the threads they’ve all gone to Mississauga. Much like the UK and Indian applicants.

My application got transferred to Accra Ghana VO today, no biometrics or MR yet does anyone have an idea how long it takes Accra VO to process PR application.

Mine got transferred to the accra VO on February 27th. Still no biometrics request (i have received the mail asking me to pay) and MR. So i guess we're in the same situation. Hoping to see progress this week.

Blerg this process is so annoying. Currently very frustrated with Gary.

For the most part, things have gone smoothly thus far, with AOR, SA, MR, VO transfer all happening in short order.

The frustrating bit: on Feb 1, one day after AOR1, IRCC requested an RCMP fingerprint check from my husband (PA), as he previously lived in Canada for many years. They gave us an April 1 deadline to get it to them.

We had the prints taken in Hawaii. (While there on holiday) on Feb 12, and processed through an IRCC accredited agency on Feb 13. RCMP has told us that the results were forwarded to IRCC on Feb 19.

Fast forward to March and there’s been no update on ECAS or GCKey. We’ve tried calling IRCC for the last few days and can’t even get connected to the wait/hold line. Calling them is so annoying! You also have to enter like, 20 options before being told they’re too busy to even transfer you. And being in Aus gives us only about 90 minutes a day to try calling.

We also submitted a webform, but they say a webform response can take 28 days which is way past the April 1 deadline.

To make things slightly MORE frustrating and worrisome, when we call and are going through the automated options, the voice recording says “we sent you a request for more information on Feb 24,” but we never got any correspondence or requests on that date. Nothing on GCKey or ECAS, nothing in email (or junk mail). So we have no idea what they requested or if it’s a mistake, and getting them on the phone seems near impossible?!?!

Guess we’ll be staying up into the Australian night tonight to try calling them first thing in the Canadian morning.

When did you put the Webform in? I’ve always had a response within 7 days.
