Thanks god,

My passport will expire on November and I afraid of this issue. I thought maybe they will return the package but it seems they will start the process then ask to renew the passport

Thank you again

Once I got AOR, I just sent a web form in with a scan of my new passport and they added it to my application.

So once you’ve got your new passport you could upload it too.

Hi everyone

Received sponsorship approval today in pdf/ letter format.

PA is from India not sure if we will receive biometrics request? Can someone please clarify?

Did any December applicants receive medical request yet?

Have a nice day :)

AOR Jan 31 - still can't link account
Hi all, first time posting here.... we submitted our application Dec 3, received the AOR email on Jan 31st, and I still can't link our account to the paper application. I've tried every combination I can think of. The application also can't be found in the online "check application status" tool and it's making me nervous.

Anyone having the same experience, or can offer advice?
I wasn't able to link until I wrote the PA's name in all caps...

Wow, today! I didn't think IRCC works on holidays :) Unless it's some automatic pre-scheduled email that does not require human's participation.

Anyway, congrats!

IRCC works today, at least I've just talked to them!

I have an update, that my application was sent to Warsaw on the 12th of February, exactly the day I've got my second AOR...
Medical request and all other staff I will wait from them as of now.
Unfortunately, it is very slow office... crying:(
Wish your application to be sent to Mississauga

Hey friends,

An update on our current status:
PA Country of Citizenship: USA
Application Rec'd: Dec. 5
AOR: Jan 31
Request for additional details (RCMP fingerprint criminal check since PA previously lived in Canada): Feb 1 (Submitted Feb 12)
SA: Feb 13

I'm curious about what people see when they log in to their account and review application (I have browsed the thread and seen some mixed comments). The below is what we see, which surprises me (why is background check already in progress? Why is a medical not needed? Does this change as they work through the application, or does my Canadian-educated US spouse simply not need a medical?) Thanks for insight, folks!

Application step Current status
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements
Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents We need additional documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
We have a similar timeline
Rec'd: Dec 5
Linked account: Feb 13th
but never received AOR officially

My account says exactly the same except "you do not need additional documents"
I am confused as well but It says my application is being processed so I am just waiting on the SA now.

Hi! Can you please share how did you link an application without AOR (and I guess without an application number then)? What combination did you use?

Ya I used the family name option and personal information.
I used the PA's family info, typed in ALL CAPS (I have to stress that because it didn't work until I did that).
I put his passport info, what country he lives in, where we intend to live in Canada and 2 instead of 1 for the number of people in the application
