its been 18 days since my medical passed .. today i called cic and got an automated message that they are processing my background..
i never got a file transfer email or anything .. does it mean my file is transferred ?

My file is still in sydney after Medical request that around 60 days ago. !!

Our file is being thrown around from one VO to another for over a month. Not sure which option is worse, really.
Good grief! I understand that they will transfer a file to somewhere else it theoretically could get processed just to rearrange and try to balance workloads (e.g. some applicants who might be processed through backlogged London based on their citizenship get processed through Vienna because they have a residence permit in Germany), but how it makes any sense to end up in Mexico, which seems to be one of the slowest around, I will never know!
Why do you care? As long as your application is being processed and complete sooner than later, does it matter if it is transferred?
I think you application has to be touched by multiple hands in multiple VOs to be complete. It is a joint-venture process
I called CIC today and they're saying we are processing background check here in Sydney, NS and we will transfer to local VO once it's done.

My PPR papers will be delivered to the Ottawa office tomorrow. I've seen some people get processed as fast as 3 days!

My husband's PPR papers will also be there by tomorrow! We sent them today.
I've heard it can be up to a week, depends on when it's sent and when the weekend falls. Since it's expresspost, it should be fast.
