A note for people with similar situation: About 1 year ago, I put a question in this forum about if I have any chances to sponsor my wife if I don't meet the RO. Many people including Scylla, Leo, etc severely advised me against applying for my wife sponsorship as they claimed if the RO is not met, not only the application will be rejected, but also my own PR will be revoked! I am here to tell you all guys with a similar situation that I could sponsor my wife without even the slightest problem. My wife is landing in a few days. Now, maybe these guys say: oh you were lucky; I have to say no I wasn't lucky; many people could sponsor their spouse only if the could prove they have intention to stay and live in Canada by showing income or Employment letter. You may also say: Oh, you didn't clarify your situation well enough, then I say I asked this situation many times to an extent that some people reacted harshly. It didn't even take that long time! Only 7 months which is normal. Now, the point is if I had listened to what these guys claimed in this forum, I would have ruined all my life. Please if you don't have enough knowledge about any issue, please don't try to ruin people's lives by giving wrong advice. It is funny that everyone in this forum ( or at least the admins) suggested not to apply, but I did and now I am happy that I didn't listen to you...
Like u said it was an advice. U take it or u dont. In ur case you went ahead and were successful. These guys who gave u an advice aren’t lawyers or cic agents. These guys have helped countless ppl in this forum and like i said they are just giving free advice to ppl looking for answers. They answer questions based on their and others experience. Next time u need a professional advice pls pay for it and hire a lawyer instead of bad naming ppl who are just trying to help on their own personal time.

And for a person who didn’t even knew where to send the application or spell parent’s middle name correctly from a piece of paper, it is very easy to point fingers.

My SA is DM.. roughly how long before i get AOR,MR ..etc.???
If your SA is DM, then you should have received AOR by now, as AOR comes before SA from what I know. MR can be at any time, we personally got MR the same say I got SA. Some people get it a few days before SA, others on the same day as SA, and some a few days, even weeks after. Nobody can give you a reasonable estimate because it just varies person to person. It'll come soon though, just hold on :)

Nice that you are happy, but what means "RO" in your message? Would be good you to be more clear with your situation, but not emotions.
And second question, how does your message relate to me and other december applicants? Do you know at which stage we are?

I’ve read through this persons post history and none of it makes any sense. RO stands for residential obligation and why he has picked this thread to rant about advice he’s been given is beyond me.

Firstly, in the below thread posted 26 days ago he asks whether he can sponsor his wife when he’s not met his RO:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/sponsorship.615415/
However, now apparently she’s landing in the next few days. o_O

He’s made similar posts since he created his account and received advice from @scylla, @canuck78, @zardoz, @steaky and countless others across multiple threads.

We have many people on the forum who’ve picked up an awful lot of knowledge and have been happy to pass this on to others during their own time. We should be very thankful to them. :)

The whole post doesn’t sit right with me at all.

Yeah, this sounds like it's conflating two separate issues. If you don't meet your residency obligations as a PR (no matter how you got there/under what class you entered) you risk losing your own PR status. And if you lose that, then of course you won't be able to sponsor someone else. Whether or not IRCC catches you for not having met (or no longer mathematically being able to meet) your residency obligations is a separate question, but not one I'd like to test, and not a strategy I would advise others to follow either.

That right there is some sound judgement!

Mine as well....how long does it stay at singapore vo before they make a final disicion????
Unfortunately no one can tell you this answer. It depends on too many factors. I would see if you could find cases similar to yours that involve your principle applicant's home country and the Singapore VO. That's the most educated guess you'll be able to make.

INDEED. We should all be VERY thankful. Many of us were able to do the applications ourselves and avoid costly lawyers BECAUSE of all the helpful information on these threads.

People give the best answers they can out of the goodness of their hearts. They aren't on a payroll or obligated to help.

Agreed...this post doesn't sit right with me either.

Hello Everyone,
I received a document request from CPC-M last Tuesday requesting my wife's birthday clarification.
We have submitted LOE as well.
in that letter, they mentioned that it is the final request and no further requests will be sent and highlighted. My question is that are there any chances of transferring my File to NDVO visa office? Also, my background check is in the process from Mar 28.

File Received - Dec 17 and Transferred to Mississauga - March 1, 2019.

Looking at the google excel sheet I have found 5 people whose information is complete since last year. The longest time between received and medical request is 159 days and shortest time is 91 days for Singapore VO. But don't know where the PAs are from though. These numbers probably don't mean anything.
