Congratulations! My wife and kids receive today the MR.
Congratulations!i also received the medical yesterday evening
It means your application will be handled at Mississauga VO, not at your country's VO. It's good news.Guys, what does it mean if the file got transferred to CPC Mississauga?
I suspect if we don't get notice of our file transfer soon that we will just end up being part of that group who randomly never receives notification. I've seen a couple people in the past who went through Vienna VO (like I am) who said that they never got anything, not even AOR2. I also notice in this post (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/august-2018-outland-spousal-sponsorship-outside-of-canada.575310/page-124#post-7637121) that this person, who went through the Mexico VO like you theoretically would, never received confirmation either.Likewise! Medical complete now. Awaiting the passing grade! It's emedical so it should be early next week (I HOPE!)
Awaiting the file transfer to VO // Will update when we get AOR2
Happy most of you are getting it already!
Congratulations! So I got biometrics payment request yesterday 28/2/2019 made the payment and uploaded via web form yesterday, got SA today 01/03/2019.
Yes, it is a bit irregular. I thought transfer occurs after medical pass but obviously it is not true. I am wondering why it took so long for IRCC to pass along your application. That said, here's hoping we get something soon and prove me wrong!
Thank you! Yeah, maybe once my husband does his medicals something will come through, but I kinda doubt it since, as you say, a number of people have received the notification of transfer prior to medicals. If I want to put on my speculating detective hat again, I wonder if citizens living abroad are always sent to their local VO. I think all the cases sent to CPC-M thus far had the sponsor living in Canada.Yes, it is a bit irregular. I thought transfer occurs after medical pass but obviously it is not true. My theory is that CIC has batch processes. For instance, i along with a whole bunch of people received MR on Feb 19. We (as in my wife, who is the PA) were unable to do the tests until Feb 25, prior to which a whole bunch of people got transferred to CPC-M (with medicals done and accepted). It may be possible we missed the deadline of transfer and that the transfer to any VO happens on a specific time interval.Thank you! It's not ideal but also not the end of the world if it's been sent to Vienna rather than Mississauga, but my restless overactive brain would certainly appreciate the confirmation!
No, that does seem to be true. Both @schweisy and I were in the Feb. 19 MR batch. IRCC definitely has its own secret rules. My theory is that CIC has batch processes. It certainly does seem that they at least release the notifications in batches, given how many people received the medical request at the same time, and how many were transferred to CPC-M at the same time. But apart from that I don't know how much we can read into their processes. A lot of people were in fact transferred to CPC-M who hadn't completed their medicals yet, so I don't think there is actually a correlation there. My hunch is still that I am being sent (or have already been sent) to the local VO, the notifications for which are a lot more spotty. I guess we'll find out if we get included in the next batch of notifications or not!My theory is that CIC has batch processes. The problem is the tracker doesn't have enough data points to trend why people are being sent to their local VO or CPC-M. I can make a short Google Form with key questions to try and trend it if you're interested? It certainly does seem that they at least release the notifications in batches, given how many people received the medical request at the same time, and how many were transferred to CPC-M at the same time. Are you (i.e. the sponsor) living abroad? If so, I suspect you'll be in the same boat as me. If you're in Canada, then I think you still have decent odds of going to Mississauga in the end after all (especially if your GCKey is already showing background check in progress). As usual, these are just my guesses though!
