Hello folks, i have a quick question. I have my test on Dec 5, 2019. I however have only a photocopy of my IELTS that i had submitted with the application. I do not have the original - i lost it somewhere i suppose. Is it okay if i take a copy of my IELTS when i go for my test?

Technically the test letter says to take the originals. You have a week, I'd contact IELTS to see if they can send you an official copy.

But if they can't or it takes too long etc... you are not always asked for it and better to have a copy than nothing.

I did contact the IELTS folks. They said they keep TRF which are valid only for two years and not more. I did see someone else reply to my post that the copies should be okay so am going to go in with my fingers crossed.

Hi All,

Today I wrote my test and passed, I also was eligible and privileged to have my oath done at the same time.I am proud to be officially Canadian.

Test: very straight forward and they give more than enough time to complete!

Oath ceremony: beautiful experience.

Tips
please give yourself ample time to get to your location( I ran into construction, lucky I gave myself an extra 40 min)

Study: the study guide is all you need, however there are sites that has God practice tests and flash cards to help you study ( not official from CIC so I still say read the book no matter what!)

I sent my application on Dec 13, 2018, got AoR on Feb 18, 2019, and processing started on March 12, 2019.
Soon it's gonna be a year since I submitted my application. And I still haven't had any other update. I expected to take my test by now! but no invitation sent yet.

Do you know why it takes longer for some of us? I see from the sheet that many people who applied after us, in Jan 2019, already took their test and some even already had their oath ceremony! Does the city/province of residence play a role?
