Looks like they are taking longer nowadays

yes. I was looking at a few spreadsheets from 1 yr ago ;
March 2018 has completed oath for only 46 %. even if some
did not report, that is a small no. ; given that IRCC official processing time is 12 months.

similarly feb 2018 is 51%
jan 2018 is 52%

who knows , like those in the sheets, we could end up waiting for a year or more.

Finally got my AOR today,
my timelines here,
so this is my second time application, first time got returned for some stupid mistakes, I was thinking I will be returned again, and checked my mail everyday, and also called the cic call center again and again.....

No.
You need to check your ECAS status at

When you get your AOR , it shows "Application received.". It changes to " In process" a few days/weeks later.
