Yeah, 2 months just to get an acknowledgement that the application was received...

3 months later it was returned for no fault of mine, sent again; it has been 2 months ( total 5 months), no AOR yet. At this pace, it is going to take more than a year to oath.

This is ridiculous. AOR is just saying that the application was received, not even processed... I can rationalize the randomness, like offices don't work the same way and their work-load is different. If you compare our times with that of January 2018, AORs used to take 2 weeks, clearly the work-load is different but anything over 2 months for a mere acknowledgement is excessive.

Anyway, the wait goes on. In my case (Ottawa-based) I am comparing the wait-time with applicants from November 2018, and on average they have waited about 2 months 2 weeks to get their AORs so I guess that's the reference point right now.

where did you receive your AOR through mail or email?

AOR is through email. but Ecas says Application received.

They do say it takes one year for processing, if anyone gets it faster, they got lucky.
