Oath letter today
Oath ceremony jan 10th
Congratulations to you as well! I can't believe it's been so long. I first applied for PR in early 2011 so it's actually been almost 9 years for me. I was literally in a different decade in my life, and I will become a citizen today, just a few weeks away from being in a different decade than when I first arrived in Canada. I feel like it has been a long 8-9 years and I'm sure you feel the same way but it's almost overCongratulations!! Your situation is almost similar to mine. 8 years in Canada and finally done with my test. I've been on open & closed work permit, foreign worker, permanent resident and now almost a citizen. Waiting for oath ceremony.
Yes they ask for address proof (usually your driving license)thanks for your reply. I have two qs if you don't mind.
1. About original documents; the only things we sent copies with the appl. were passport , DL and health card. Rest all was original anyway. Is that ok?
2. I moved recently from the address they have and I did not change it online. Will that matter? Do they ask for address proof?
thanks.
I only received emails for my citizenship test and oath letters. Actually, all of my correspondence with CIC/IRCC over the last 8 years including for PR was email-only with the exception of the actual COPR that came in the mail.Hello everyone,
I wanted to know whether CIC only MAILS the two test and oath letters? or do they also EMAIL these letters?
Since I'm planning to leave Canada after submitting my application for a job and won't have any address here. So I was hoping that they would EMAIL me rather than mail the test and oath letters.
I would appreciate it if anyone knows could respond.
Thanks!
