So, I just got off the phone with IRCC, and they gave me the same sob story about how I'm not the only one who is waiting, IRCC has hired a number of new program officers that are catching up, blah blah blah. When I quizzed him on why there hasn't been any progress on my application since the 7th of Feb (when my eligibility was met), he said it was likely because CBSA had put a temporary halt to IRCC sending them new cases to process before they can work through their existing backlog, which explains why criminality and/or security have not yet started for so many applicants. It seems the new call center approach is to blame CBSA.

Thanks everyone for your Guidance and Support.
AOR 14th December.
Visa office London.
MEP 31st January.
PPR 31st May.
I have a question, i may get married in june month. Shall i proceed for COPR or do it after marriage ?
Congrats.....:)

If CBSA has put a halt on new applications, they how the applicants from jan, feb and even march are getting their PPRs....the agents themselves don't know what they are talking... but Imagine their job... they have to talk to so many frustrated applicants everyday and I wonder how they keep up their patience level...lol

Haha, yeah, I know they make up stuff just to keep us entertained and get us off the phone as quickly as possible to talk to the next sucker on hold. How do they cope? Yoga and lots of therapy? I hope IRCC pays for their classes!

A haiku for the weekend:

Drained, tired and jumpy.
Hey, Canada, do you know
the weight of my wait?

I'm just trying to stay outdoors and do as much sports as possible...anything to help keep my mind off IRCC. Good luck, everybody! Let's keep up the vigil!
That's the best way to keep the mind occupied..i am losing my sleep nowadays...Now I sleep at 2 or 3am...and Have also started dreaming about PPr and ghost updates...same dreams every night.... so much stressed:(:(

Not every file goes to CBSA, from what i read, only the files that are randomly chosen (No idea how they choose) for security screening goes there.

Hahaahaha... I bet they even laugh about our situation by talking with their co-workers... " hey I was just talking to this Indian girl.. and she was talking blah blah blah..."

Are u a single applicant??

Mine aor is 28th Dec..nd whenever I call them they say no decision has been made on eligibility criminality nd security.. yesterday I called them again nd that agent said that review has not been started on my application..

PPR..!!!
FSW- O
AOR - Dec 29th
MEP - Feb 15th
PPR - May 29th. Did not see any updates after MEP and this morning got an en email "Ready for Visa / Pret pour Visa", the golden PPR email :)

I was a silent reader, and the discussions and advices on this thread from USProgrammer, LegalFalcon, and others have helped immensely. Thank you all.
Some of the things that I was worried about that worked out for me:
Gift Deed: I created a new bank account in ICICI, transferred the required finds via gift deed and got a bank letter after 30 days.
No Letter from Employer: My employer denied from giving any proof of work letter. I submitted joining letters, tax documents, pay stubs and all other past letters that show my employment.

The PPR email gives detailed explanation about posting passport to address in Canada if the applicant is in Canada, but specifies nothing about how and at what New Delhi address should I post the documents. All it says is "Your passports and photos should be received by the New Delhi office in 30 days". Please help me with the address to the visa office in New Delhi and how/what documents apart from passport and photos should be submitted.

Stay strong and have patience, your application is about to get approved :)

Then why they are not choosing our files yet....:(:(:(

On May 9th the agent told me BG checks are in progress and it shouldn't be long before a decision on my case is made. Still waiting here for that 'won't be long' moment.

Hey everyone!

In every waiting game, the most difficult time is just before the end, just like the darkest hour at night is the one before dawn!

We are almost at 6 months. The longest trip is behind us. Let's hang on!

Meanwhile, I have been scrutinizing my old GCMs and came across this, thought someone in this forum might explain it to me:

New Value: Passed - Candidate

What's Siebel Administration? Looked on google but couldn't understand. Is it the automated system (some calculation directly after submitting)?

And yes my eligibility was yet to start back then.

They often (deliberately?) spin 'not started' as 'in progress' for criminality/security. Another one of those call center lures to keep us hooked.
I got very excited back then when he said eligibility - recommended pass, criminality - passed and security - not started and the case officer is waiting for BG checks to complete to make a final decision.

Ridiculous that he wrote his own screenplay and played direction :confused:
