I believe so, but I think that the UCI changes when we apply to PR or when we receive AOR, instead of changing it only after MEP.

My UCI was still CAN*** after AOR, because I had to submit a CSE. It either changed with/around MEP or IP1.

I have screenshot of 3 Dec (AOR), 10 Jan and 14 Jan (MEP Passed) - My UCI Changed on 14 Jan as per the screenshots, not sure if it changed between 10-14 Jan.

I agree it is related to medical, but I am not sure at which stage it is updated.

I agree with "with/around MEP or IP1" I also feel so. Technically UCI numbers comes in picture under Travel History and not Medical, I am assuming it is related to IP1.

My MEP status is passed though I didn't receive any email till now..

My background check status still is not applicable..

Does that mean I'm not in IP1 phase yet ??

Thanks for update.. I have one query when I submitted proof of funds.. CAD was around 51 INR.. now I think it's around 53.6 .. So will that difference be counted when it comes to conversion rate ?

PS: I submitted proof of funds in CAD and it's well over 15k mark .. I'm single applicant..

IRCC updated funds required. Make sure your funds declared are up to date or do a CSE if you need to declare more.

MEP - Medical Passed - 17th december

The UCI number for my application has changed. Earlier it was CAN********** and now its 11********
This has happened both for me and my wife.

Is this normal?

i am also 8.12.2018 AOR inland EE PNP applicant no medical passed

If the funds are held in CAD, then conversion does not apply.

Funds are held in INR however in POF I have submitted funds in INR as well as equivalent CAD ..

So I think conversion rate will apply..

But as you pointed out that the rate on the date of AOR will apply then I'm safe I think.. there wasn't big difference at that time..

Regarding the correlation b/w MEP and change of UCI No, read the following quote:

"In Express Entry, applicants are required to submit a complete electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) within 60 calendar days of being issued an invitation to apply (ITA). The application and all supporting documents must be submitted electronically through the applicant’s online account.

Applications are assessed for completeness up front. An application found to be incomplete should be rejected as per section 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, and all fees associated with the application should be refunded to the applicant.

The Express Entry six-month processing standard begins when an application is assessed as complete and is promoted in the Global Case Management System (GCMS). It ends when Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) makes a final decision on the application."

From the above text, i believe there is a correlation b/w R10 and change of UCI no. After reviewing the documents submitted, if the application is complete, then the visa officer clears the R10 and promotes the application to GCMS, leading to change of UCI no.

This would take about 6-7 weeks. Will my application be on hold till then ?

Again today when I logged in, the landing page said -- my application status was updated.. no email though yet again ..!!!!!

And my background status now says -- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

Is this IP1? And is there any time frame when background check will start ?

Didn’t receive the medicals update yet

Probably it was not uploaded by WES on their verification site
