Hi, could you two things please: a) Make a signature like @USProgrammer or mine, and b) copy and paste your application status (or even just your background check status) here. Leave out any identifying information, obviously. This is the only way we can know what is going on.
Got ghost update yesterday and no email. MEP was on Jan 15, 2019.

Hi all,

I have one query, if anyone can respond to would help to clarify my doubt.

Earlier IP1 and IP2 kind of status were in existence, which don't really stand good for January AOR applicants as since day of AOR, background check is like

"We are processing your background check. We will inform you if we require any more information."

Earlier this status was considered as IP2 and it was visible after MEP clearance. However, nowdays it's entirely different.

Could, someone tell me why is it happening for Jan AOR? I understand that from 31.12.2018, biometric has begun for specific countries, however the same was happened in July 2018, and the applicants receiving AOR afterwards didn't experience this.

TIA
My aor 25.12.2018 but it has been seen as processing as yours from the beginning I don't why it is like this. Still no update on MEP

Yes, indeed, we've known that IP1/IP2 are no longer reliable since at least September 2018. Many candidates from the fall have also been in IP2 from Day 1 simply because they were nationals of countries that were required to give their biometrics. Now everyone has to provide their biometrics, as you correctly observed. There was also the bizarre case of someone from this group (Dec 2018 AOR) whose status changed from IP1 to IP2 and then back to IP1. With these changing times, we might need to create a new method to track how IRCC progresses applications in a way that is similar to how the old IP1/2 + NA2/3 system worked. Who knows how things will evolve.

Thanks! Already updated.
Congrats! Please create/update your MyImmiTracker to help everyone track our cohort's status. It would also be helpful if you could put your information in your signature on this form (see mine for an example; if you are on a phone, turn it sideways to see the signatures).

AOR 24 dec and MEP 4 feb
However, BG check says not applicable instead of we will let you know when we start. Should I expect to go to IP1 in the coming days?

Thanks

A NZ national who went to Mexico for a four-day vacation years ago was requested to send in a PCC for it! This resulted in an ADR, and it took him about a month to get the certificate from Mexico.
Thats me...lol....Just a clarification - I made a silly mistake when adding addresses. I was supposed to enter address in Mexico as 10-02-2014 to 14-02-2014 but by mistake I entered 10-02-2013 to 14-02-2014 so the system thought I was there for over 6 months hence the request for PCC. A silly mistake that cost me 2 extra months on my application and plus my VO changed to Mexico now which might mean further delays...

So did you get your pcc from mexico or did you explain that this was a mistake?
How did you know you made this mistake since we can't see our applications after we submit them
