Hi guys,

So I ordered GCMS notes and found out that there is a Review Required for the POF. We had sent them a letter from the bank which gave the details of the Fixed Deposit of the required amount. The letter also gave my current account balance apart from the FD. The point to note is that the amount was transferred to my account from my parents and an FD was made the very next day. It was about 5 months old when we submitted the application.

Later we called CIC and this nice guy said that our eligibility and background check is both under review right now. They haven't sent us any ADR regarding the POF. Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Though he said our background check was under review, as per our account we're still in IP1.
Our GCMS notes show that everything else has been reviewed and is in order.
Experts, any ideas on what we should do at this point? Or should we just wait for them to send us an ADR if they need any details about the POF? The funds continue to be in the FD.
Sometimes the Review is only for conversion purposes. Don't stress too much and try to order notes, if your application is in CIO Sidney it is normal that takes forever to be processed (Forever = several months after the six-month limit).

I've raised a CSE with the following questions:
1) Could you please update me on my status regarding - Eligibility - Criminality - Security 2) Could you kindly let me know where my application is being processed? Could you please send a reminder to the Officer that is processing my application?

The response:
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We verified the information you provided regarding the processing of your application and have forwarded it to the responsible office.
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

Unfortunately the response is not helpful at all. I'll have a meeting with local MP tomorrow. Let's see if it will be more helpful than these templated answers.

Newbie here. Apurv - how long did it take you get an appointment for your landing interview? i.e. how many days from the date you were notified you got PPR to the date of the actual interview. I am also applying inland and I am trying to decide if it will be faster to fly out of Canada or to do the landing interview for my husband and I.

Also - after receiving your PPR approval, are there any other steps which need to be done before we can "land"? To provide some background, I am a US citizen with a work permit in Canada and my husband is Honduran with both a work permit and work visa in Canada. My husband is unable to enter Canada without a visa with his passport. I am not sure if my husband will need another visa or if he can use his work visa to fly into the country as long as we have the approval documents for PPR. Would greatly appreciate any clarification you could offer.
@iluvcanada2019 it depends on IRCC decided whether its gonna be Landing or PPR. In my case I received landing interview.

Sounds like a typical case of Canada killing you with kindness.
Can't wait for this. Congratulations!
Indeed :)

It took exactly 199 days from AOR to PPR. The long delay was frustrating. Left job last month. Have called IRCC 3/4 times after 5months were over. GCMS notes were all normal. IP2 today after/before RFV email - Unsure.
Last call was yesterday where the sweetest agent said that all parameters have passed and it’s in queue for final review by an officer but said it could an hour or even a month. But woke up to the Golden Email today morning and submitted passport as well.

This Forum has been very helpful. Thank You @USProgrammer @derkdsou @SithLord

For all those who are still waiting. It’s just around the corner. I have faith in law of attraction and it helped me a lot - ASK, BELIEVE & RECEIVE.

And yes I will end it with a Haiku:

Got PPR this morning
PPR - Party, Party, Repeat
Submitted Passport
Congratulations!!

Think my case officer must have died or something because I've been in final review since May 9th.

All the best

Yeah i hope so:mad::mad: i am hopeful though...

Yeah let's keep the hopes up.

I took a quick look at the Immi tracker yesterday and it looks like there are several "patches" of incomplete applications for December. Most of the approved one has a big gap between the number of days to PPR and the current days for incomplete applications (180-200). Logically, it means that any complete application were approved a long time ago, and the actual "queue" is somewhere between Dec 1-15 right now, vary between agents / VO.

On the other side tho, it looks like the Nov AoR batch is mostly complete. Def >80% by the look of it. So hopefully most of us here will get the news in July or at latest August.

I've marked September 1st as the day to start to panic. AOR DEC 16th.
Although it is also true that when it takes long it almost always finally arrives

OK Folks...
It's PPR finally... After getting approved on February 20, I finally have the golden letter on June 24.
Thanks for all your work... So now...
I have to:
1. Get new photos taken
2. Make copies of passport (come from eta countries)
3. Send a prepaid xpresspost envelope
4. Send the annex that came with the golden letter that has my address
5. Sit tight and send the whole thing
Am I missing anything?

Looks good. Congrats fellow US person.

Your signature has a mix of full dates "Dec 18, 2018" and US-formatted dates "2/12/19". Could you unify those to at least use the international format. I am also a US citizen, but I put everything in the normal DD/MM/YY that everyone else uses.

I don't understand. You said "golden mail" separate from PPR and it says "PPR to the wrong email address" with 2 separate dates.

What do you consider a "golden email" if not the PPR, and you're saying you got a PPR on February 20 and didn't realize it? If so, waht did you get on April 9? How was it different from what you received June 24?

No idea. I expect a possible photo rejection upon PR card processing.

Mine wasn't nearly that expensive. It was about $30 I think each way on my FedEx account I set up. I printed the label and customs forms and brought it to FedEx office for them to affix to an envelope and scan.
Wow. PR card is later. lol. I am worried about the CoPR they will attach on the passport first.
Also, I made fedex do everything. They printed the label and custom forms themselves and did everything by themselves. So it was pretty simple printing and attaching the commercial invoices.

You already got CoPR right? You don't have the PPR/CoPR dates in your signature or forum info so it makes it really hard to discuss.

If you have CoPR you don't have to worry about the quality of the photo to get in and land as a PR. They might reject the photo later when they are processing the PR card and you might have to send a new set.

However, the PR card is separate from your PR status. Even if you're outside the country, you can re-enter via air with a PRTD from your local embassy or VFS or whatever. Also, if you can enter the US legally and cross by land, you can cross with just your CoPR again and your passport. Once you've landed, you're a PR, whether or not you have a PR card.

It took exactly 6 months and 8 days from AOR to PPR. The long delay in processing was pissing me off. I raised a CSE on 15th June 2019. After a few hours of me receiving a notification that they have received a CSE, I got the PPR email. Good luck guys!
Congratulations, what's a CSE?
