Hi All. I am FSW-Outland from India with 20 Dec, 2018 AOR. There is no progress in my application since IP1? How many of you are in the same boat. What to expect now and how much more time it will take to get the PPR?
Hi,Any knowledge, wisdom or general guessing work anybody wants to pass on the below?
Just called IRCC again for an update... (I got through to the call line bang on 8am when they opened, wait time was noted at approx. 7 mins and was about right.
Last time I spoke to them on 15th March my application had moved from CIO Sydney to Edmonton. The lady then noted it was to help with some of the processing and my application would likely go back to CIO or LVO for approval so there would be another move with my application to expect. At that point she also noted Criminality, Security and Eligibility were all In progress.
Today... the lady I spoke with said my application has now moved back to CIO Sydney (this moved on 21st March). Updated status' were as follows:
Criminality - in progress
Security - not started (different to what I was told a few weeks ago)
Eligibility - Recommended Pass
Question on Eligibility - I thought this was only passed at point of PPR?
There is no bar in participating in any political activity, however if you have committed any offence that can be categorized as a war crime then CIC will perform additional background check at the time of PPR. Personally I think that it is rare. BTW are you applying from PRC ???Hello. I wonder if anybody could help me on my concern of past membership of the communist party. On LOE I explained that I was just a low-ranking nobody at the party and I never got involved in any political objectives whatsoever. Will this result in a rejection? Or maybe extremely long background check? I'm FSW inland and I heard usually inland can move a bit quicker. But I'm waiting for quite a while without any updates. So I'm getting worried if it's because of this membership of the party.
That unfortunately uses very old data in addition to the recent data, which makes it mostly useless.https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/fsw-outland-e-apr-tracker/analytics/average-time-to-a-ppr-based-on-nationality-1
There is an easier way to calculate the average days it takes to PPR, Filter for your country of residence or visa office and voila, you get to know
My status is same as yours and the agent told me that a senior officer will conduct a final review. I believe security does happen at the back end I’ve noticed numerous cases where they were told that security is not started and they receive PPR in a day or two.Hi,
I am in similar situation with regards to eligibility recommended pass.
Aor 26 dec 2018
Med pass n ip2 7th feb done on 11th feb.
Criminality done
Eligibility recommended pass
Security not started as at 1st of feb 2019
According to the agent,
Last activity was on the 11th of march 2019 when the junior officer recommended eligibility pass.
However a senior officer still has to give final approval before it would be fully passed. So i think its totally normal
Yes i totally agree with you. The good news here is eligibility is recommended pass. I want to believe that on reviewing eligibility, the senior officer will also carry out security aswell. My status is same as yours and the agent told me that a senior officer will conduct a final review. This is exactly my understanding. You’re right eligibility is the tricky part so it’s good news that it has been recommended by the officer.Yes i totally agree with you. Yes and i also asked the agent what security entails, he said that aspect of your application where u provided your 10 years history is what they would check for security. So the less complex ur 10 years history is, the better for youThis is exactly my understanding. You can filter for the specific dates. You can filter for April 2018 to December 2018 and see the average dates. Or any other datesThat unfortunately uses very old data in addition to the recent data, which makes it mostly useless.

After reading many posts on this thread I also went to Walgreens, but they said they removed the Canadian PR picture specifications from their software after seeing increased rejections. Walgreens in Mountain View and Sunnyvale said the same thing. I checked at CVS and FedEx as well. But no luck. Eventually, I found a professional photographer on Yelp who specializes in taking Canada PR photos. He also had a photography studio stamp and date stamp which made things easier. He charged $40 for 8 photos of me and my spouse. I would suggest you find a professional photographer in your area. Not the news I wanted to see today. They didn't even say which one had the problem (PA + 1 dependent), nor what exactly the problem is. Do I just go back to the same visa photograph place and hope for the best?? Also, they didn't spell "Permanent" correctly in English.
