My understanding is that since the spouse was added after AOR, the minimum required documents are medicals and PCCs for any country the spouse has lived in for more than six months in the last 10 years. I have not researched this thoroughly, but I believe that an ECA and IELTS for a spouse are technically not required; people use them to score as high as they can for an ITA. In this case, since the spouse was added after AOR and the primary candidate's CRS has been "locked in", producing an ECA and IELTS scores (no matter how good) for the spouse would not really expedite or enhance the application.

It's my first post, I am new to Canada visa forums and have been reading a lot of threads to try and understand the
procedure of deducing the stage at which i am.
Can you guys please throw some light on which stage my application is?
and will i be hearing a good news soon from cic or have to wait a little longer?
1) AOR: 29th Dec 2018
2) MEP: 12th Feb 2019
3) ADR: 25th Feb 2019 (Request to pay RPRF)
4) RPRF Paid : 27th FEB 2019 (Receipt uploaded to CIC account)
I am also attaching some screenshots of my application, please have a look.
Also, i am the main applicant along with my wife and dependent child.

Thanks! Until last week my file was at CPC Ottawa. Let’s hope I get to hear from them soon.
The majority of the people on this forum are still waiting for their PPRs. The only true way in which you can know the status of your application is to either write or call IRCC (instructions in my signature) or order GCMS notes, which take a little over 30 days to process.

Actually i may also get married before getting PPR. I need some clarity, my understanding was if after getting AOR one gets married then points are recalculated based on wife points and without ielts and ECA surely points will decrease.

It is just a sign that your application is progressing - don't read much into it. Besides, I encourage everyone to pay their RPRF upfront as it is fully refundable.
It all depends on when you are adding the spouse. Logic tells me that if it is between ITA and AOR then, yes, it will impact your CRS and your application could fall below the lowest CRS for that invitation round, unless you have loads of points to spare because you are bilingual or have an LMIA-based job offer or for some other reason. However, if it is after an AOR, then I believe my reply holds. Of course, you can and should call IRCC to confirm all of this.

I have read a post by @legalfalcon saying that the best time post-AOR to add a spouse is when one is sure that eligibility has been completed -- at that stage, there is not much of a delay from adding a spouse, although if you do it before eligibility is passed then it may add more processing time.
I have no first-hand experience with any spouse-related stuff, so I would defer to any posts by @legalfalcon who is somewhat of an expert on these matters. Here is a list of search results for keywords "adding spouse" posted by @legalfalcon to help you get your research started. Good luck!

What about adding spouse post PPR before landing, is it possible or i have to go thru spouse sponsorship program ?
Just spoke to an agent was so nice she said everything is passed just the final approval needed visa office edmonton

They will not recalculate anything because this is a life event. You can add while in processing or Post PPR.
I am in this boat. I got married after getting AOR. Even though I can add her now, But I will add my spouse after I get my PPR.
I am doing this upon my friend's suggestion. Even he did the same thing.
He got married after applying PR. In the PPR email IRCC will ask to report if there are any changes in your marital status, address, child birth's or death of any person included in the application. At that time you can inform them IRCC that you got married after applying PR.
So my friend added his spouse after getting PPR. They simply reopened his application and processed his spouse as well and again sent a new PPR requesting both of their passports. IRCC took another 45 days I guess to add spouse and send another PPR.
Advantages of this process:-
1. Firstly your processing will not get disturbed. Try to complete your process smooth and get PPR.
2. The only documents you need to submit is legal marriage certificate, some wedding photos, medicals of your spouse and PCC of all countries she lived for more than 6 months. My friend submitted only these docs it seems. No need to submit her ECA's, work experience letters, IELTS etc...
3. Your CRS score will not get impacted.
Bottom line - This is a life event which happend like that after applying to PR.
But end of the day it's your decision to add spouse while your PR is in processing or post PPR. You can do it either way.
I thought of getting my PPR first and then add my spouse. So I am doing in this way.
