Whats the timeline of December applicants?

My request was received on 9th Dec, 2017.
We hired an attorney so all the proceedings held through him.
My online account has not been updated since after 27th January. The latest update I received is "Medical exams have been received".

I am blank about whats happening now. Is there anyone who could please guide?

Any applications received by Dec 7th 2016 onwards as per CIC website the timeline is 12 months.

Mine stays in "my are processing your BC" for a bout a month

Depending on applicant's country and VO you may get through quicker
Mine is still suck at Eligibility and application was received in Mississauga Dec 7th 2016

I know this is tough to answer but is there any indication how long it takes from background check in progress to decision made going through Ottawa? I am hoping for sometime soon!

Sounds about right! do you have dependents? If so, that may take more time for your application before they approve it.

Do you why including dependents on the application will make it take extra time? Our kids are all under 10 years old with medicals done up front. I can't imagine they have much in the way of backgrounds to check.

My wife applied my spouse visa on 14 November 2016...i got my approval letter on 2 november...and PR status shows starting processing since 22nd december 2016...till then i didn't get any update...it almost 7 months now...can i ask them about my current status...if yes then how can i ask them

Do you why including dependents on the application will make it take extra time? Our kids are all under 10 years old with medicals done up front. I can't imagine they have much in the way of backgrounds to check.

To be honest, I really don't. But of course as a family it is more records and stuff to look at, but I do hope it wouldn't take long

You finally got some response?! I was wondering if you did or not.
I thought I saw someone post anywhere from 2-6 weeks. But it's been a while ago since I saw that.

Till yesterday my status on GCKey was "Your application is in process and next step is to conduct a background check ". However, it has changed to "Not Applicable" today.
Can anyone of you help me out with understanding that what does it mean? Is anyone having the same status?

that is normal, just wait and it will change to background check is in process as soon as they start. for my wife's application it took 2 months from Not Applicable to Background Check is in process. then after that everything went fast to approved, passport request and issuing of Visa.
