For the principal applicant and all dependents 18 and over, whether accompanying you to Canada or not:

Ø Updated Schedule A Background/Declaration form (IMM 5669): You must declare your personal history and addresses from the age of 18 (not only the past 10 years).

Ø Updated Additional Family Information form (IMM 5406)

Ø If not yet submitted: Original police certificates from each country in which you have spent 6 months or more since the age of 18. For instructions on how to obtain police certificates for specific countries, click here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp. If you are unable to submit police certificate(s) within the 30 day deadline, submit proof of having applied for the certificate with your package.

My hubby received this message from HKVO. She lived in Canada for 1 yr, I thnk she needs to provide the police cert from RCMP. I just wonder how can I get one from Hong Kong? How can I tell if the agency is accredited finger print company?

Does anyone know how long does it take to receive copr in mail? I received email on feb 22 that my copr has been sent on feb 22 from london visa offi e to canada? Its been a week and i am not sure how long mail takes. Anybody who knows the timeframe?

I submitted my required documents via mail and myCic both in December. MyCic status says 'provided' but hasn't changed to 'received' yet. How long does it usually take to respond? I haven't received any corresponding and have no idea if they have received it or not. Makes me worry :-(

Did you include your Police Certificate with the application up front or no?

We submitted her Police record for when she was living in Australia.. Was told by our lawyer to not worry about her Japan police record until the government asked for it...

You should try checking the other group on this forum.. NEW Manila visa office philippine spouse/family visa applicants. That forum is very helpful as well. It all talks about applications processed in manila :)

Ya i did check it out.. but unfortunately it is only helpful if I spoke or understood their language.... couldn't understand a thing they are talking about on there...

Hello peeps,

My wife is sponsoring me and she is currently in canada and i am in Jordan, we received an email from cic that they recite our application on December 23rd, and then we received another email that our application is in process on January 10th 2017, i am a bit worried that I we didn't receive any other email till today specially the SA . Any help please

Good luck to all

Hello,

First off - thank you to everyone who helps out in this forum, it has been really helpful!

I am sponsoring my partner (US citizen) and we got a request for documentation (we were missing a police certificate from one of the countries she lived in). I am a bit unclear how to respond to the message. The pdf request says "Please reply directly to this email and put your application number in the title", but the email came from donotreply@cic.gc.ca so I shouldn't respond to that.

I linked everything to my CIC account, so I see the message there as well, so I am assuming I can just upload the document there as a response. Is anything else required? It will likely take a while to get the police certificate back from the country requested, so I am uploading proof that we applied. Does anyone have experience with a similar situation?

Thanks!

You will only be allowed to upload the document once on MyCIC. Did it give you a time frame to upload by? I'd advise you wait until you get the actual certificate. After I successfully uploaded my 5669 form it will not allow me to upload anything else. I filled it out wrong too (the Ongoing boxes for dates/addresses wasn't checked and I checked it 01/2017 because it wouldn't validate any other way. Turns out you had to redo an entire new form and can't modify a old save). I haven't had a request to reupload yet (I assume they'll ask me when they get to it, if do at all, because I included a paper copy which had the ONgoing boxes checked).

Maybe call and find out?

Hi I applied in December 2016 . They received my file December 7 . Got my SPonsorship approval December 22,2016,
-in my CIc account says medical passed.
- but received a requesting letter march 1st asking for my partner passport/travel document to renew and submit a copy of biographic page information of the new passport, as a visa of Canada will not be issued on an expiry or close to expiring passport .
-my partner has applied to Renew his passport which takes about 40-45 days , hope it's not delaying our process
