Linking it is something of an art form. I hope technical support will be of use. I was glad I ultimately didn't have to resort to that. By far I'd say trying to link the application was one of the more frustrating parts of the entire process for me.

It sure is! You would think that simplifying this would be so much easier and would cut down a lot on people trying to contact them. I mean I've tried everyday the maximum time for 4 weeks now. It surely can't be that complicated and there's only so many variations.

Luckily for you, you are almost to he finish line! Yay!

I was wondering the same thing. I read somewhere that AOR2 is received by the Visa office itself so I'm not 100%

AOR2 is an acknowledgement of receipt email sent by your VO, e.g. Hong Kong. Some VOs don't even send out AOR2, so others consider the line on ECAS that says "We started processing Principal Applicant's application on February 09, 2017." as AOR2.

My ecas shows Prinicipal applicant in process but doesn't have a line saying they started processing. Just that they received our app in dec and medical results received.
Does that mean my application is at the Mexico VO already and they started processing it?
I still am not able to link to mycic so there are a lot of things I can't see.

I have not received AOR2 until now and not sure if I will ever get one. My sponsor received SA on Jan 13 and on the same letter it mentioned that my file is being transferred to my visa office which is Manila. I only know that my papers are already in Manila because on ECAS, I got another line saying, "They started processing my App on January 23, 2017".

First line on my ECAS showed that they received my App on Dec 20, 2016 (the day CPC-M received our package). Second line was "Medical Received". I now have the 3rd line which is what I just mentioned above

I have just assumed by the in process under the principal application that it has been received in Mexico and they started processing it Jan 27 since that is the date it changed to "in process"

For someone in the September thread, they got sponsor approval in late October and didn't see AOR from Mexico City until late December - almost two months exactly. You may be in for a long wait.

I was reading hers I believe. It's so hard not to stress. I have friends as well who applied a few years ago in September and he was here by June/July from the Mexico visa office.

I feel somewhat confident since it does actually say in process. Either way it's going to be a long and torturous few months haha

You are still waiting for SA?! That is so frustrating. I can't imagine how it feels right now. Especially seeing Jan apps get approval.
Have you checked your mail? For some reason they decided not to email us but to send via Canada post. I think you are able to access your ecas and mycic though so you'd know from there.

I still can't link to mycic. I finally last night filled out the technical difficulties page but I highly doubt they will respond to that. And I was scared to do it because I don't want to affect anything negatively
