When you say you received an AOR2, was this from the visa office processing your PR application, or is this the e-mail confirming it was forwarded to the visa office for further processing? I recieved an email confirming my SA approval and then right after (to the sponsor email), I got another one stating it was being forwarded to my visa office for further processing. I haven't got another e-mail yet.

Ottawa doesn't send an AOR2 e-mail.

So far I only received 2 emails from CIC; the first one was the SA PDF/letter attached to the email I received from CPC Mississauga (addressed to the Sponsor). "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in New Delhi for further processing.
"

The second email was directing me to My cic/ GC Key to check the new message I had received, which was the AOR2 sent from the VO (addressed to the PA). "We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada and have created a file with the file number indicated above."
I never received AOR one, but on ecas it was written that an AOR has been sent on .... (date)

Oh? So I'm at the step currently that is PR "In Progress" - so I'm guessing I won't see any updates until Decision Made? My medicals already passed, sponsor approved, and schedule A uploaded, police certificate provided up front...should I stop checking daily and just give it a month or two? Just so excited, checking each day...seems like it's moving fairly fast.

Process in Ottawa VO is quite fast...

You can keep checking every day (I was, haha) but realistically it seems unlikely you're going to see much movement for a while. My ECAS showed they started processing my application at Ottawa on November 7th and nothing happened on MyCIC until my background check started on January 19th. ECAS will not change for me until DM. I'm a September applicant. There's one person from October who already got DM and PPR, but their In Process date was earlier than mine. I don't think I've seen any other Ottawa applicants from October with their background checks started (though it's possible I missed a post here or there) so before they get to January they have October, November, and December applications to deal with. They're still working on some stuff from late August and mid-late September at the moment.

The below steps helped me link my App on the same day my Sponsor got approved. Hopefully it will also work for you. You must use the PA's details to link to MyCIC.

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2-a. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application
and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my husband, no dependents.

Again, for 2-a, I selected Family Name, Given Name, Birthday (This is Principal Applicant's (PA) info).

On no. 6, I entered '4' because I have 2 dependents.

Good luck.

How long before you status changes to show that the medical has passed? We sent the medical form with the application and we have noticed others medical status has changed to passed a few days they started processing the application. We applied on Nov. 14 and the package arrived on the 16th. On Nov. 23rd, I received and email asking for an additional form and we sent the next day. I was approved as sponsor on Dec. 23rd and they started processing the application in Manila on the 28th.

In my case, as soon as I linked my App, it already showed my medical being "Passed". Prior to linking my App and until now, ECAS still showing "medical received".

I would like to say Thanks a million for sharing that information because before this information I was not able to link my information and was wondering why. Now I am able to link it.

Thanks a million and good luck to you!
